Ok I was just curious, and was unaware of another 3rd party character being brought into the scene.
I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that there would be 1 or 2 more 3rd party characters, not including Snake.
I know it was definitely rumoured. Sakurai had set criteria for possible third party characters to meet, so who knows?
Well considering the factors of both the decade old feud of who's better, Mario or Sonic? AND the new release of Sonic The Hedgehog on the horizon. Odds are looking high that we're going to be graced with Sonic in the character roster. It would be rad to have Mega Man joining in on the on-screen mayhem as well...
Well we know who's better, Mario. Simple. So the feud is pointless.
The new release of Sonic = meh, it'll probably be as average as his other new games.
Again, not sure what Sonic will bring to Brawl.

Or altered characters so that each of them has wings (like Pit's). Thus they can fight in-mid air.
(Remember them saying that they wanted to have more mid-air battles?)
He wanted to alter mid-air combat but I think by slowing the game down he has already done that.

Grr..sonic haters.. dont hate sonic just because SEGA are not exactly taking advantage of sonics abilitys and strengths.. and generally just being freakish...but hopefully with sonic and the secret rings i hope its pure sonic fun..no crap..not another character either..just plain sonic that we all used to love..and i think sonic would rock in SSBB

Well lets see, a character who has MANY titles... doesn't say if its first or third party.
Megaman is the most likely guess.
Sonic (unfortunately) has had alot of games.
Bomberman has appeared in alot.
Ridley has appeared in many titles from the Metroid series.
Honestly its too broad to tell.
The least exciting thing there is the new item, since items = teh suckage.
But otherwise nice find, I hope this rumour is true unlike almost every other rumour.
And they'll have to reveal it soon if they are going to convince me.

At least we only have to wait for SSBB to release in Japan to find out if this is true or not.
I don't think it'll take long to hit worldwide after the Japanese release. Unless Nintendo want me to destroy them lol.
this would probably be too close to final destination, but they could use the Bowser battle stage from super mario 64, and the spikes would hurt you if you flew into them, or they could roll around, plus the stage could tip around
Sonic's stupid. If it was any Sonic character though, Shadow would make a good character.
But Shadow is WORSE than Sonic (And that is really saying something)
The stage should be the Doomship!!! Play Super Mario Bros. 3 if you don't know what the Doomship is.
