Cloud Strife? Naw. He's cool and all but i dont see him mixing into the SSBB character list. Doesnt make sense. As well as Sora. I really doubt he would get in.

The only characters that seem to match the rumor qualifications(been in alota games) are Megaman,Sonic,Bomberman,Rayman(maybe since Ubisoft is in love with the wii right now) and maybe Simon Belmont from the castlevannia series cuz it was on the NES and stong support on the HandHelds......and thats all i can come up with. I cant really think of any body else that falls into those catagories.

If KH is indeed coming to Wii that would give Sora a chance of appearing as a shock promo to take the gaming world by storm.

No I dont really see that happening. Not for just one game. If they re-release all of the Kingdom hearts titles on the Wii or Gamecube then maybe. But then again the only metal gear title that came out on the Nintendo systems were the ones from the MSX thingy and Twin snakes(and a few rereleased titles on the GBC.)

IF Sora were in the game I'm betting that the key would be used for the weapon to make it different and not just another sword user. I'm all for as many as they can get in the game to make us have more options to play but not just for show without a true moveset.

I half agree and half disagree.

Characters should be picked if they have a chance for a unique moveset BUT some characters should logically appear (ie. Ridley, Wolf O'Donnell) because of how IMPORTANT they are to their franchises as villains.

Yeah but if they did appear I would hope that they'd have decent movesets. I'm not saying they must all be upper tier or anything but at least have moves that will give you a chance. I agree with those mentioned being in the game too. Ridley might scare the kiddies though, lol.

They have potential for unique movesets. Not sure how they'd fit into the tier though... we can't judge that until the Smash BRoom puts out a tier list for Brawl after its release.

If it's from the Japanese Dojo, I'd say that the suprise character could be Sigurd, as I see a lot of Fire Emblem fans wanted him (specifically Japanese fans), there been about 10 of those games, and I have heard rumors that he was going to be in Melee, but didn't make it in time.

Item- I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its something from a Generations game.. something BrainAge/Brain Academy, Elecktoplankton related.. or one of the newer franchises such as Pikmin, Adv/Batallion Wars...

Mode- maybe a hot potato/tag kinda thing.. everyone attacks one person/keeps away from one person..
or perhaps a story mode, you play through challenges and enemies from your character's games?
Or it could just be the online mode.

Right that's what i've heard. But from what i understand, during that period when japanese fans got to make character suggestions, Sigurd was on top of the pile of at least the Fire Emblem characters. Add to that this claim says that the new character comes from a game that has had many installments, I'm speculating he could be the referenced character. But i think that only to be true if this news came from a japanese source, since he is primarily known and loved over there. Whereas he is only known to a smaller group of people outside of Japan, even select among FE fans. So if the claim is in reference to all regions, then.. ehh .. uh i got nothing. Cept maybe Mega or Belmont.

Apparently, Ike was high on that list as well. Which stinks. I think Sigurd should be in Brawl.

I would definitely love to see MegaMan in SSBB!

I enjoyed Ike from what I played on GC, although his character did seem to flatten out a bit later in the story...
I hear a lot about Sigurd, guess I'm gonna have to seek out FE..3 is it?

Sora WAS in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories on GBA. And rumours of KH3 going to Wii could further fuel the chances of Sora. But don't mistake me for supporting him, because I don't think he'll be there but its not like he has NO chance.

And as for Sigurd, he is from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Released in 1996 for the SNES in Japan. I have played it, by certain means. There is a fan translated copy of the game out there on the internet.
