not sure about everyone else but i like it...
hearing roethlisberger say 'set hut' in madden is pretty cool, the sound of the tennis racket in wii sports, listening for pig grunts in rayman...think it works prety good
I also like it a lot too but there are some people who can't stand it. I think it adds a lot to the game the way it is implemented.
i think its cool and all but i took that and the rumble off because its kills batteries fast i have rechargable ones but i hate when they are dying and i wanna play

Is there any way to change the volume of the speaker...its always so freaking loud in Zelda. Also, is anyone else's Wii REALLY loud compared to like TV or a DVD? I have to cut the volume down to half before turning it on cause the little chime that plays nearly blows my ears off
I honestly don't use the speaker or the rumble. I personally found the speaker sounds to be annoying, but I'm sure infuture we'll see some much better ways of using it.
I like it. And I'm glad you can toggle the features on it since I'm sure at some points it can get pretty annoying. I think the quality of the speaker itself could be a bit better, but it gets the job done.
I was annoying my friend while playing Zelda. Everytime i would swing, the wiimote would go right by his ear so he would hear " Heee ya! *ching ching, swoosh*" and then Midna would do her little laugh, and that would piss him off. As for me, i like it, but there is one noise that i cant remember, where it is MUCH louder than my tv..... oh well.
I like it too but would like it more if it produced better bass. =P
It doesn't bother me at all since I play my games loud enough that the sound from the remote compliments the sound from my surround system.

try turning it down to 3 bars--MUCH less distortion, and if you don't have your TV/sound system cranked to ear shattering volumes, it should do its job quite nicely

just a little more immersion, that's all. and I guess things like in Red Steel with the mission thingies in multi, but that's a little "meh" seeing as everyone can hear it...
Lol, I hope I don't hate the speaker when I get my Wii, I like it now that I don't have it yet...
that tiny speaker inflicts much pain when i hold it an inch away from my ears.
I also agree it needs bass.
How sweet would that be if you could download an update on the wii so that you could adjust the equalizer settings on your wiimote?
Wii Speaker = Awesome! If you don't like it turn off the volume on the speaker!!!
