I dk what it is but I heard that people were having to return for warranty their ds's because of it..I was think because I have a Red Ds and on the bottom left it has a little red dot? And I am wondering is that a problem
If it's on the screen, could be a stuck pixel. A dead pixel isn't an actual color if I'm correct.
It's might just be dust. Sometimes a speck will get stuck on the screen before it's sealed. Nintendo will fix it anyway.
A dead pixel is where there is a dark spot on your screen because the light for it is dead. Sometimes you can get a pixel that is stuck on a particular color and can't change to other colors as well.
Like my laptop, it has one stuck blue pixel every since I got it out of the box.
Yeah, normally a company will not allow returns on 1 dead pixel. For example, you have to have more than 6 dead pixels in a certain area before Acer will exchange it (at least that's what it was last time I checked.) Every company is different though.
My DS has one, but I haven't let it get me down. much.

that would be a dead pixel Toungue i had a ds and it had one so i exchanged it. dead pixels just still emit light, but the liquid died so therfore cannot change the color of the light. XD

I get stuck pixels a lot when there is white everywhere, I get one and then it goes away within a few hours.
