7-up is great, I didnt play through all of 6 after a little while it was annoying me.

ya id have to say X is really good. i dont know why but ppl generally decide to hate on it. the only two ive played were FF7 , and FF10 i must say they were both aweseom. BUT im going ot bed now because i feel sick so hopefully this thread grows huge with bursting discussions for when i come back (BETTER HAPPEN! XD nah jk)

I liked FF-X but it was screwed over by POOR voice acting. Otherwise the game was incredible. Not up to FF-VII standards but its hard to beat the 3rd best game created.

FF4, FF9, FF5, FF7, FF6 in that order kkthxbye! I need to play FF3 on DS that game looks pwnage.

The Voice acting was amazing. Auron is the great. Tidus is whiny but meh. It suits him.

O yea FFIII was pwnage too.

Would you say poor voice acting is better than none at all. Sorry but it just hit me today, "Why didn't Nintendo put voice acting in Zelda1!!@!@!". Some cut scenes would've been so much better being able to just sit back and listen.
I'd rather have sub par VO than none.

With an order like that you can't "kthxbye" me.

FFIX sucks, period.

FF-VII is the best, period.

FF-VI is the second best, period.

FF-IV would be fourth best, period.

And FF-X can be fifth best.

But putting FF-IX above FF-VII is like raping the Final Fantasy name.

Pretty much because since Cloud and Aeris are my two favourite FF characters, if they had of given them voices that sucked then the game would have been ruined for me. I heard a characters voice and automatically assess it (Maybe its the actor/voice actor in me)

Tidus was whingy but come on, when he did the yelling thing with Yuna I didn't buy it, it was just so poor.

Auron was an exceptional voice actor, too bad he vanished at the send (Stupid being an "Unsent")

7 is way too emo for my taste. I like 7 dont get me wrong but not as much as most FF fans. FF4 is the best hands down, the mix of characters as well as the story is enough alone to make it the best. Not to mention it has the best main Character in any FF ( Cecil > Cloud )

Its pretty lame to see the FF-VII story as emo. Because its not, its one of hardships and sacrifice and loss.

FF-VII's story + characters + romance > All FF's.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I love FF-IV as well, but FF-VII is better.

Cloud and Vincent were emo. No matter which way you look at it, or what excuse you give, they were emo.

For me? I'd say FFXII, FFIX, FFVII. I'm going by what I like now. I don't find myself enjoying FFVII anymore, FFIX I kinda enjoy, but the story is like "whatever" now. FFXII I have the most fun with still, maybe because of the battle system, or maybe because it's new but I like it. As for back in the day I'd have to say FFIX, FFVII, FFVIII. Squall was pretty emo as well, but that pressing R1 at the right time thing became cool and then second nature.

You realise we are arguing about two great games right? well another reason I can think of off the top of my head is the materia. I didnt like that system very much. Also I get into the more mid evil time set final fantasys ( I know most go si-fi in the ends... ) FF9 stays old school with magic / swords for almost 3 full discs where as FF7 has guns and advanced technology stuff. I guess its just a matter of prefernce and this is mine. Is that enough reasons for you?

I agree with Ricky FFXII FFIX And FFVII good ones.

Everything about FFIX was great, the battle thing like bell97 said was awesome, learning new moves was so easy. And in FFVII with the materia it was good but it felt like everyone was the same. And felt like they werent that differnet from eachother. And with the FFIX everyone got Skills but they still had there own weapons and abilities.

Ummm... Final Fantasy is full of unrealistic things... you know that word "Fantasy" yeah... that is what it generally means.

Oh well *crosses off more than half of the things in every FF*

I know, and mine was that I couldn't stand them.

I mean what the heck was up with Squall being a whinier version of Cloud.
