Hi,

I just bought a brand new Samsung 40" LCD HDTV.

I install eveything.

DVD works fine.
PS2 works fine
Wii... not so much.

I'm running 480P with component cables.

I'm not sure exactly how to describe it. It has pixels problems.

A bunch of Pixels are "flashing" randomly on the screen.

It does it in the Wii Menu, Weather Forcast, Wii Sports, Zelda, etc..

It does NOT do it when I use the Opera browser or play certain Virtual Games like Super Mario Bros.

I'm freaking out here. Anyone else had that problem?
Where on screen are the pixels flashing? Is it more towards the center or around the edge?
Weird. Are your cables third party or first party or homeade?

Everywhere randomly.

Got my cables from Nintendo.com.

I read anything bigger then a 32" you should use the stock cables. since in component its try to display a 480p on such a big screen it just stretches everything and makes it pixelated
Yea thats crazy that it would do that...Tonydt1's explanation seems to be the most sound.

pixelated is one thing but randomaly flashing pixels is another, call nintendo and see what they say.

You bought a 40" LCD HDTV? I barely got enough to get my 20" Flat Screen.
anything BIGGER than 32"? sounds fishy, but whatever... I'm glad I'm running it on a 32" Sharp Aquos Smile
I'm glad I'll be running it on a 20", even though I can't use composite cables.
Toungue
well I use my Wii on my 20' tv and my 51' tv, but I use the AV cables that came with my Wii and it looks fine. I'd say call nintendo
component cables work fine on my 27' tv

Wow, 62"!

So...............what cables should i Use for my 62" LCD TV?
doesnt LCD mean lowest common denominator? i know my math =) cause knowledge is power!
Snare, you shouldn't use any cables with it. You should just feel sorry for me and donate it to me. ............. Jedi mind trick not working! :'(

Ok, you keep it then and I would use nothing but Nintendo. At least if you have any problems they will be more willing to help you and not say "It's your cable, you shoulda gotten Nintendo ones".
I transfered back the Wii on my other tv (not an LCD) and it does the same thing. I'm thinking it might be the component cables. I'll try to connect the Wii with the regular composite cables today and see out it goes.

I really home it's not the Wii itself. Sad
