im thinking of buying one of these two games. which should i choose?
I own both, and rayman is an instant hit with many people, but its pretty easy to beat the game. Super Monkey Ball i hated at first, but now that i've had the Wii for awhile, I am better with the remote and found I could beat most of the levels a lot easier because I had more control.
But Super Monkey Ball makes me want to throw my remote thru my tv on purpose sometimes, it can be frustrating! haha. If your a longtime fan of the series, I'd get it...otherwise I'd get Rayman...
Actually I'd just rent Rayman unless you plan on keeping it as a party/showoff game! goodluck
Hmm, I am also a huge fan of the Monkey Ball series but I was very disappointed in the Wii version. It was the 1st game I bought for my Wii. The single player mode I'm ok with but the Mini-games are hit and miss. Some I like to play, others I've played once or twice and won't again because they're busted. Rayman, I like the mini-games but the main story is basically just you playing the mini-games and not so much of a story.
It's a coin toss really. I'd say if you plan on playing with 2 people, get Rayman. If you plan on 3 or 4 people then get monkeyball.
ive heard that controlling in super monkey ball isnt very easy specially the minigames. what could you guys tell me about that?

one more thing, which of these games has a stronger use of nunchucks? cause i only have one and im not planning to get more soon....
If you dont mind getting mad and yelling and get stressed of games then get Monkey Ball because there are alot of times you fall down and get angry and frustrated you can never finish it but it has good mini games......
If you like easy simple gameplay,love a rabbit with no arms or legs and love cute little bunnies getting hit with shovels then you should get Rayman...it has a good choice of mini games,easy story and if you have friends that never played the Wii then this should be your choice.
SO overall I would pick Rayman because I get angry easy just because of videogames like monkeyball but its your choice.
Well I'm not sure that both or them use the nunchuck stronger... but they still use it scarcely..due to the fact to don't have pointing with the nunchuck..but both of them games use the wiimotes very,very well.
Rayman MUST use the nunchuck to play and you can't play without it. Super Monkey Ball has some mini-games where it's not needed and some where you must have it. Hope that tidbit helps you.
i would buy super monkey cos im such a huge fan of 1 & 2. and rayman games seem 2 be getting worse and worse so i dont even bother 2 read about it cos i hear that his game r fun for like 30mins then its just samey
We have both now here and I've gotta say that Rayman gets my vote for the better of the two. Just my opnion though. They're both pretty good overall.
rayman imo, great fun, great party game, monkey ball is growing on me but if i could only have one, it would be rayman
i strongly recommend Rayman. my oppinions are pretty much the same as previous posts. Rayman is fun for a group. greatly enjoyable in the 1st player until you beat it, which takes about 5-8 hours. outstanding party game though.
Monkey Ball is just way to frustrating, both single player and most of the multiplayer just don't function the way i'd like them too, or most people from what i've seen/read. check my reviews for a more detailed look at both games
