i was watching a video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWCSPkJwQdI and noticed that someone had that humping dog that plugs into you wii pluged into a usb port. I didn't know the wii had usb ports!? so i go look and i had 2 usb ports, and i plug up my mp3 to the wii and go to the photochannel and it says only sd cards can have photos(what a bunch of BS).

So what are the usb ports used for?

i think its 4 if u have use a wired internet, and i did that as well (but my mp3 player in there)

I called Nintendo a while back when I didnt know how to go online, its for when the Wii USB connector comes out or something.

There's gotta e more uses for them than that.

yh there should be because i thought u that it would be like a computer and recongize stuff music etc and that u could do watever cos when i put in my mp3 im expecting something like music files detected go here 2 play.

I know one of the uses for them will supply power to the remote chargers. Being that the Wii stays on forever, it will always be supplying a charge to Wiimotes.

why is nintendo retarded. I don't want to have to go and buy a new sd card and buy the slot for my computer, and i dont want to stream it because some places i go don't have internet. Why couln't they just enable it to take stuff off of a thumbdrive and use it. Why do they want to limit u.

I plugged in my usb flash drive today and it didn't reconize it.

I plugged my USB Cord into the modem and nothing happened.

I don't think Flash Drives will ever be put into working condition. I'm mad though, because right now half my posts will go through, and half wont.

I dont know but i was thinking maybe Nintendo wii come out with a keyboard that wii plug into one of the USB ports so that it is easier to type. That would be pretty cool. I would buy it.

I would think they would just add support for ANY USB keyboard, kind of like the 360, but they might release a first party one.

there are a million and one applications for it... hell, you could hook a printer up if they made the firmware updates...

my most desired applications:

-Flash Drives/External Hard Drives
-Keyboard
-Headset
-George Foreman Grill (but that might make it too PS3 like hahaha)
