I am currently developing a NEW site of top quality Flash games designed just for the Wii. What we are working on is going to put WiiCade.com to shame. What we're doing is striving to make free games for everyone that live up to the top quality product Nintendo strives to deliver to its fans.
My intent in posting this thread, is I would like to know from YOU the voice of the highly valued gamers, what kind of games you would like to see more of.
At the moment we are working on 2 games which are similar to the sorts of mini-games found in Rayman. The animation style for the two is to the quality of the SNES Earthworm Jim series.
I forgot to add. At the moment there is a group of 4 of us spanning from Philly to Toronto. Next week I will be recruiting more artists from my college to board this project. So far I am the only coder, the games right now will only utilized the A and B buttons...HOPEFULLY I can get one of the genious admin scripters at my school figure out how to interpret distance to and from the sensor bar. If there is anyone here that is familiar with PHP or Action Script...PM me and send me a work sample, same goes for artists.
Ummm how about shooters and platformers and some RPG's.
I've been thinking of ideas for an RPG. The trickiness in that is figuring out a means of developing one that won't suck. If one is developed we have to figure a means to make it lengthy enough to be good but not so enormous that it would take 20 minutes to load. Also, the other thing would be finding a means to give users the option to save their progress and not have to start over everytime the game loads.
Shooters are already being brainstormed.
Platformers, we are going to stay away from due to licensing and legality issues. However, we have a plethora of original characters and content that is going to be used to make some really cool stuff.
Shooter & puzzle for the person over here.
Those I would enjoy most.
Shooters are cool. What does legality have to do with Platformers, because if it's original, it's legal.
When you say platformers what comes to mind is trademarked characters.
I voted for shooters cause they seem to have the best transition to flash. I love RPG but wouldn't want to play one through the Opera browser as they tend to be long games. If you have ever played the sniper game in WiiCade then you'll know what I'm talking about. I love sniper games!
