does anyone know how to connect your wii online. for a wired connection im assuming you need some usb ethrenet thing the guy at circuit city says i dont think theyve been invented yet?... and the other problem is i have a wireless modem but since its not mine i dont even know how it works and im not sure if you need to plug any usb thing in the wii in order for it to connect to the router. i did search for an access point on wii and it found one but just didnt connect. so anyone let me know if you help me out here.
there is a certain usb ethernet dongle that WILL work with the wii,
BUT, my common electrical knowledge is guessing that ANY one will work.
oh, wait, you have wireless? did you need to configure a password?
CHECK THE RANGE! how far away is the router from the wii?
I pick up a signal strength of 90% of someone's wireless router, and they're not my neighbors or anything, because I would know, both of my neighbors are older people who don't have kids, and one don't have a computer.

there not even 5 feet away from each other. the thing though to is i dont use the wireless router its for a computer upstairs, and yea i think i need to configure a password or key or something but i dont know what it is. the router i got is a D-Link 524. i might just order a wifi usb adapter from nintendo.
Lol, is it the default password. Try leaving it blank or 12345 or password.

Oh wait, it's a WEP Key you need, if it's a default one probably 12345, that's what my grandpa's router was set to.

yea the 12345 password thing didnt work, and i dont think i can use wep. think i have to use one of the WPA ones. im not sure its not my router i just thought it should just connect automatically didnt know it would be this hard. it usually only finds like 1 or 2 access points to i look in the Wii manual and the pictures has like 10.
