Which would you prefer and why?

I have my reasons for the Zune over the iPod [even though i love the clickwheel design]

1. Sync with 360: now that I have one. I want to fuly use every single thing on it.

2. Larger screen for videos and photos

3. base value price for all it's included is far cheaper then the iPod Video 30Gb [Am/fm radio.... Wifi.... ect]

4. It looks cool doesnt it?
don't have a Dune, and I've never really seen/known when one was in use...all we use over here are iPods or the random mp3 player.

I've had my iPod mini since it came out two years ago (got it as a graduation gift), and it's still going strong. I take it everywhere, and I think I'd die without it. You don't see many of the mini's anymore, but it's very durable compared to the newer versions like the nano and such; I've dropped mine so many times, and all it has on it are a few light scratches, while my friends drop theirs once and it's gone forever. Hasn't frozen up on me yet, either.

No need for videos or anything like that, cause I've got my laptop to watch whatever I get downloaded. And I have a digital camera that I take everywhere with me as well.

Only thing I really have to complain about with it is that I can't transfer the music I have on it back to a computer, unless I use an illegal program.
i would say zune because i am cheap i will get what ever is cheapest thats one of the resons why i got my wii
YOU GOT A Wii BECAUSE ITS CHEAP?

but I feel you LinksZelda... stick with what you got.. but soon.. you need to upgrade [like those tampon commercials.]
ipod ftw
You should wait until they get the kinks out of the Zune, but for now go with the iPod. they seriously both suck compared to some of the other Mp3 players out there but iPod is popular so, meh.
>.> But but...I don't like to upgrade. I hate it when AIM tells me to upgrade to a newer version, and then I start running into problems and downgrade myself to an earlier version. Same can be said about the tampons...why go for something that will cost extra money, even though it's serving the same function as what I'm using already?

Until my iPod is completely dead, and I cannot resuscitate it, I'm sticking to it. And when it dies, I might just end up downgrading myself to another CD player.
Noooooes CD playaz

LMAO

Its just hat Zune to 360 and I want to be "in" the social

It better be Playtex! Playtex is the greatest because during absorption, they expand outward, and I leak less, why they even form into the shape we really are. They come in plastic applicators and now in cardboard apps called, BEYOND. I used to use Tampax but now wouldn't use them even if they were free of charge! They slip out if you're active and besides that you have to buy extra pantyliners too and who wants another 'hassle' during that icky time of the month anyway?

whoa.
... uh ... i guess, all i can say is that ... Ricky - you're putting them in wrong then, cause they never slip out ... and I could so get into a huge conversation about this, but I'mma cut myself off >.>

and JM- I don't have a 360, so the no connection and not being "in" isn't a problem for me ^^;
I think I'll cut myself off as well. <_<
Tampons are awkward and exist soley to make a man feel uncomfortable. FACT
Why not an alternate brand that works with a services like Yahoo Music or Napster to go. $15 a month and you can download all the music you want to it (instead of $1 per track). I'm doing that with my Samsung Blackjack. BTW, if you want a coupon code for 60 days of trial service on Napster, I have one.
that's very true for guys, but for us girls we can be pretty open about it. Every time we want the guys out of our suite, all we have to do is start talking about tampons or how we're all starting at the same time (which happened freakishly at the beginning of the semester)...the room gets quite empty, quite fast ^^

but anyway - back on topic D:

JM - I forgot to mention that CD players rocked my world before I was introduced to 65 (my mini). I've got enough CDs to last me maybe...10 days without repeating a single song.

I've never really used Napster before, even when it was this big thing way back when...dunno why, but I try to avoid it.
funny thing is I have a SLVR so I have itunes!

or put it in disc mode and use it as a mass storage device Toungue

I don't trust iPods, personally. I had a 4th gen 40GB, and I went through 3 of those things in the 12 month warranty. the warranty's been up for a while, and my last replacement is quite dead, so now I think I'm probably just gonna make a video of me giving it a lobotomy with a power drill and running it over with my car Toungue

bloody sucks not having one, though... too bad I blew all my cash on my Wii. I live for music, so it's a b***h not having one.

EDIT

why is ***** is filtered?!

iPod80 FTW

1. Aparently with a little work you can get an iPod to sync with a 360
2. But it is still the same resolution as the ipod so the screen actually has a worse quality as the ipod has a greater DPI
3. There is much greater third party support for iPod, docks, speakers, cheapy letherette flip cases, etc.
+ 80GB.
+ There are lots of apps designed to put DVDs etc onto iPods already
+ Do you know ANYONE else with a Zune, that Wi-Fi is gonna be real useful
^-- that was a sarcastic comment
4. iPod looks cooler by far. After all, it's called iPodChic, not ZuneChic.

oh and from what I've read Zune has been a bit of an embarasement for Microsoft in North America as the (Overpriced) iPod Mains Charger has sold more than the Zune in the past month

And as for FM radio, if you want it so bad, there is always the FM Radio reciever addon for iPod... not really much use in the UK though, they're phasing out FM Radio in 2010 and replacing it with DAB/DRT

I have an iPod Video (30G), and I tell ya it's the best! I love mty iPod, I go everywhere with it. Plus it's easy to use, my money's with the iPod, plus the've worked out the bugs so it's probably the best out there.

Actually theres a legal program for that, it's called Music Liberator.

Music Liberator

heh, with the 5.5G ipod you can set it to allow disk access and then you just copy it back using Windows Explorer
