the only reason I don't want them to do this is so my 4 wired nunchucks don't feel inferior Toungue call it Wii envy
If you've played Rayman like Lemon, IP, and myself have it would be nice to have a wirless nunchuck. That is the only game so far that causes me to actually whip myself sometimes with the wire in some of the mini-games. No, not because of overacting but the racing ones you have to go so fast that the wire starts flying everywhere!

why would youn want a wireless one i have no problemss with mine.. and it wud just mean more batteries because i would become a seperate unit...please no more batteries

well if you have rayman you would want it cuz the rapid up and down causes a whipping of the cord and is def distracting so i am on board for a wireless version,

oops sounds like i am repeating a theme about rayman...perhaps i should read entire thread prior to posting lol

Even if this comes to pass I will stick with my wired ones purely for the battery savings.

Two things:
1.  You won't save a whole lot on batteries.  The only thing that will suck extra juice is to transmit the data to the system, it's not like the wii-mote being wired makes it free energy, it's still drainging the batteries on your wii-mote.  i.e.  Playing zleda (or any game that requires constant nunchuk use) will drain your batteries faster in your wii-mote than playing wii bowling or excitetruck (games that don't use any attachments).  Also, if you can turn the rumble off (not sure if this is do-able or not), that'll also conserve battery life since more than likely that's what drains the wii-mote the fastest.  Games should have the option to turn off the rumble except for the important things (like gameplay elements).  Having it rumble everytime you take damage is pointless for me.

2.  I'd rather developers start developing games using 2 wii-motes rather than the nunchuck, it's way too unresponsive in comparison to the wii-motes.  So unless they are only using it for simple motion (like the zelda spin), avoid using motion on the nunchuck.  (my 2 cents)

ooooh! ooooh! great idea!

how about the name 'wi-chuck'?
(pronounced like 'wii' at the beginning)Cool
i see no pint in a wireless one. the dame cord is long enough there is not a game out there that would require you to separate both your arms that much. and second the battery life already sucks and the wireless adapter will not help that.
I think they should have made them wireless to start with, the wires do get a bit annoying sometimes. They should make it all wireless and with a rechargeable battery that hooks up to a usb port, that would make a lot of sense to me.
It's annoying when storing wii remotes, and when you aren't using it.
true... it used to be really easy storing controllers--just wrap the cord around the center. but now, I don't know WHAT to do with my nunchucks Sad

Exactly, another reason wireless would be better. It's so hard to store anything with a cord/wire and make it look neat.

Messy wires and whippings should stop (unles the whipping is not caused by Nintendo). Toungue

The wire annoys me in some Rayman Minigames.

Yeah everyone where you have to move them up in down for the speed meters and such. I have smacked myself in the face with wire. I've gone insane with it. As for battery life, they already last for a week or so, so I'm fine with that. But no cable, it would make me so happy...

Meh. Take it or leave it. I go all out boxing and I am not distracted by the cord. They definitly will have to change the name if they make it. All this could be a rumor along with the Nintendo Advanced Wiimote that is coming, but I would buy it.

Actually recent tellings say that it works great on games such SSX blur. In that game the nunchuk is used when on the ground. Tilt left and right to go left and right, tilt forward to go faster and tilt backwards to slow down. Plus NP said it works amzingly well.

This would be excellent. The first time I played a Wii I got whipped in the face with the wire repeatedly (playing Madden and passing). It wasn't enough to make me not buy one, but a wireless nunchuck is something I thought they should have done in the first place. For me it's just plain more pleasant using almost anything wireless versus wired.
I dont know...

I honestly dont see too much of a problem with the "silly string" but it does sound pretty cool. My only gripe would be the price.

Nintendo controllers are the most expensive on the 3 controllers
yea...pretty much cause you have to buy two.

But the whipping has to stop..It hurts me so much... Lolhit
This is neat. Probably won't buy it, but it's still a cool idea.

A nunchuck is a weapon that uses two sticks connected by a string. Take away the string, and its not a nunchuck anymore...

O no the name wion't mean as much! Toungue

Who gives, I mean I could care less if they have to switch the name, if the hardware is awesome then im down with it.
