if the wii is "always connected" then why does it freeze every couple of log ons to the shopping channel forcing you to reboot...or does this just happen to me
How long does it sit before you reboot? I haven't had this happen to me.
happened 3 times tried to connect to the shopping channel maybe 6 times, says its connecting, much time passes (minutes) never connects, kill power button try again, connect right away (seconds)
Hmmm, that is strange. I don't remember ever having any problem like that. How are you connected by the way?
wireless router, SBC Yahoo broadband, might be connection issues with my connection ya think?
since i dont go to the shopping channel that often its no big deal right now, internet channel no problems yet but if other connectivity issues with other channels starts it could be a hassle
I had two issues with mine:
A) sometimes cell phone usage will interrupt the signal. Not completely, but off and on.
B) you may have anti-virus software on your computer. Just make sure it's accepting the wireless device.
what does this have to do with WiiConect24? other than the online parts?
I am having a similar problem. I think it may be my Router. I can reset it and it will work fine for a few minutes, but then nothing.
If i were you i would contact nintendo for help.
remember, the wii only came out a month and a half ago.
initial version of the software!
don't they still have to work out the bugs?
I sometimes have issues when I'm in the shopping channel and I click to view a game. It'll just sit and grind for a while, then I'll get the error message withe the red text.
If I go into the system setting and check my internet connection, then go back into the shopping channel, everything is fine.
yep, thats what is goin on with mine i think, just a temporary thing and doesnt happen that often
hope it stays that way
I've never had the store not connect. :dunno:

The store always connects initially for me. I have also never had a problem with the internet channel or the weather channel connecting.
I had problems like that at first, turns out my router was bad. I use SBC DSL and was using a netgear router, switched in a different router (US Robotics) and never had any issues.
