Ok, I tried Red Steel on Wii, great graphics I thought, rented Far Cry on Wii after hearing it sucked, but still fun anyways...then I just purchased FEAR for the PC and wow I forgot how good the graphics on PC games can be! I dont see a point of me getting a xbox360 or ps3 unless its for Gears of War or Resistance...I have a Nvidia 6800 on a PC w/ 2gb of RAM and all the goods...
FEAR's graphics are awesome, I havent played a shooter game on my PC since Doom3 or Prey...all of these games
Help me out with some other 1st person shooters that are spooky/gory/graphically awesome. Should I check out Far Cry on the PC? Or have played the Wii version is is the plot close enough, just the Wii's graphics suck?
I have played Doom 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and Prey recently. I plan to beat FEAR soon since I read its short...I really love these kinda games! The spookier the better!

HL2 and HL2:EP1 have their moments, I'd suggest them
COD 2 & 3 are also worth it,
but that's all I can think off from the top of my head
Resident Evil 5 is sort of an FPS, and you can't get much spookier than a good RE game.
for straight out good FPS, pick up the Metroid Prime games. uber-cheap at GameStop now and playable on the Wii (with appropriate controller). KillZone is a good one for PS2 as well as Snowblind. i personally say you'd be better off buying anything besides Halo. so extremely over-rated
The multiplayer on halo is still one of the best
I personally think Battlefield has the best multiplayer. It may not be scary, but its the best 1st person shooter I ever played (excluding Goldeneye).

Oh yea, im limited to PC and Wii...Never was really into the games like Quake or Halo, i dont like the futuristic spaceship stuff much besides Prey! But thats because your a human I guess!
Is Far Cry worth getting if I beat the Wii version? Different plot, or similiar w/ super graphics vs wii?
well far cry has way better graphics on pc but the plot on far cry games are all basically the same except different levels and weapons.
I decided to get Far Cry for the PC..I'm still playing it on Wii (rented it) and im pretty far...I had never played the PC version and I figured I'd check it out too! Its slightly older (2004) but I played it a little and the graphics are amazing w/ my pc setup. It plays a bit different than the Wii too, if you could combine the graphics of the pc with the wii remote it'd be awesome!

A good free mmofps is America's Army, I also like battlefield 2142, or battlefield 2. CS:S is another good one. Halo, with multiplayer is awsome. Rainbow 6: the lockdown. Unreal Tournament. Thats all the ones besides fear that i have played, or can think of off the top of my head.
