Best Buy had one in stock. It was the only place in town that I could find one on my lunch break. I do not care much for the place, but was happy that I found one!

congrats. How much brighter are the screens? I wanted to buy the DS when it came out but was really disappointed with the amount of light it emitted.

Got mine today also with New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS.

Target by my house had about 15 in stock and I was the first one to buy one. But I went to Target at 8am to get it. So by now they might be all sold out.

Love it. Can adjust the brightness of it but I leave that alone. Must buy for any Nintendo Fan or any DS fan that broke his/her DS or just wants a nice little upgrade.

I dont know if i should get one now because im saving to get a Wii also so I will take your advice should I save to get a Wii or buy a lite now and most likely not get wii at launch?

If I had to pick between the two, I would pick a Wii. Time Wii comes out DS lite will always be around. So can be a christmas present.

Alas I shall not be able to get a lite until after I get a Wii - thankfully I do have an original DS tho.

can you answer a couple of questions, regarding wifi play.

1 can you re-pair your DS lite to your DS paired games for wifi
like mario kart, tetris, animal crossing, metriod etc, because your told only to play the cart in the DS you got for friend code for, or will it just give you a new friend code?

2 is it really shiny, is it, i mean if i saw one in the flesh would i beable to stop my self, i mean, is it shiny

I ended up giving in and reserving mine at Gamestop. The brighter screen makes all the games seem enhanced. PLus there may be something added to games that are played on the Lite. For instance on Mario Kart DS opening, the original DS version has Mario go Woohoo or something but with the same game played on the Lite Mario says lets a go.

I got mine today, lucky for me I live in a generally small town but we have enough off a gamer influence up here that they had a few left in stock at the local Game Stop, now if only we had some more imported games.

I want to start walking around with my lite and just stay in the Chatroom lol

Oh yeah... and i'd suggest to the kiddies not to buy right away.. if u want another color just wait cuz they are coming... dont be foreced to buy white.

Crap! I'm gonna find the coupon and return/rebuy the lite!

heh i got that coupon e-mailed to me through Nintendo.com as a Father's Day advertisment... but I'm not gonna get the DS Lite... I mean, if you already have an original DS, it just seems like a waste of money. and i like Mario saying WooHoo
