Has anyone else read any of his books. I've read: Band of Brothers, Pegasus Bridge, reading D-Day and gonna read Citizen Soldiers. For those of you who haven't clued in he's a historian who qrites novels about WW2. They aren't historical fiction books but they aren't fact heavy, atleast not like a text book sort of thing. There very good novels and i've loved each one so far. Especially Band of Brothers.

Two other really good WW2 books are, The Thin Red Line and The Battle for Stalingrad: Enemy at the Gates.
Sorry to dig this one up but I love historical books. I loved Band of Brothers and D-Day (still reading this one). You should read Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides. I couldn't put that one down. The movie "The Great Raid was based on it. Enemy at the Gates is the next fun book I'm going to read.
i've read d-day, citizen soldiers and undaunted courage.

you mentioned historical fiction... perhaps the best book i've read in that genre is 'The Killer Angels' by Michael Shaara. it's the book that the film Gettysburg was based upon and Shaara won a Pulitzer for it. for the most part it is historically accurate, although a few intracacies could be debated. it's also avery entertaining read.
Cool, I'm glad to see other people who enjoy these books.

I stopped reading D-Day for a little while because I've just started reading Flags of our Fathers. Now Flags is an INCREDIBLE war book. I recommend it!
I just recently read "Medal of Honor: Profiles of America's Military Heroes from the Civil War to the Present" by Mikaelian. It's a great book that tells individual stories from virtually every conflict from the Civil War until the now (hence the title).
Hmm. Sounds like a good book.
