With the huge demand of Wii and the DS still going strong Nintendo has announced that it has raised its earnings forecast by 20%. Nintendo is expecting to see it's to about $1 billion US for it's fiscal year ending March 31st.
"Nintendo is going like gangbusters, and the Wii consoles are selling like hotcakes," said Edwin Merner, of Atlantis Investment Research. "They have momentum, and I think you can expect them to surpass earnings estimates for the next year or two."
Nintendo has also announced that it believe it will sell every Wii console it ships to consumers from now until April (bad news for people searching for one) and that Wii software sales will reach 21 million this year. This is an increase from the 17 million that was predicted earlier.

I'm afraid I won't be getting a Wii this year.
I don't mean to be a douche or anything, and this isn't directed at just you DaDillsta, but I honestly think that if you wanted one bad enough, anyone could have one. If you're wii-less at this point, I don't feel you've put enough time or energy in. to get one, you REALLY have to want one.

haha that would be comedy!! I also spent the night on launch. But not everyone was able to do that, and not everyone who did got one. It's not easy so go easy on the wiiLess
Nintendo Co., Ltd. today announced that strong sales of Nintendo DS hardware and software and the successful launch of Wii have led to record consolidated sales and operational profit for the nine-month period ending Dec. 31, 2006. Recurring and net profits also set record highs. Nintendo maintains projections for record financial results through its fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2007.
Thanks to extremely strong Nintendo DS sales and the successful launch of Wii, Nintendo’s consolidated net sales were up 72.8 percent over the same nine-month period last year, and operating income was up 102.5 percent
