Sorry, I don't have a source, nor do I a scanner. However, I was reading in PCWorld Magazine (my dad's) about the year 2006's most innovative inventions. Surprisingly, the Nintendo Wii ranked #4 among the top 20 inventions. It finished behind Microsoft Office 2007, the Intel Core 2 Duo, and something else I forgot. (something computer-related).
The funny thing: Sony's PS3 was also rated in there, but at #16.
Once again, Nintendo triumphs.
Awesome.
Way to go Nintendo Wii, number 4 is an impressive feat.
yay. ps3 and 360 people just dont want to face it that nintendo actually came back after gamecube. cause since gamecube everyone thinks nintendos like the shittiest game company when theyre the best and make the finest best built consoles.
That's #4 out of everything which is indeed huge. Shows just how much support and love the Wii is getting now. I'm glad to finally be on the winning end after sticking up for Nintendo through the years to my friends with other systems. I feel proud.
behind MS Office 2007? wow. can you say "paid-off?"
come on now, how is ANOTHER $400 suite that people will only use for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel a "great invention?" riiiiiight
but, more optimistically, yay Wii!!
thats cool that it came 4th
WTG Nintendo. Is there an online version of this article?

I tried locating it, but to no avail. I'll try again, if you'd like.
EDIT: Found one. Clicky!
xbox360 isnt even on it lol
Damn right!
As much as the fanboys would like 2 dismiss the wii and nintendo they have been wholly underestimated...im so glad that i got my console on launch (at midnight.) so i don't have 2 be one of the many surprised and eager people 2 experience and own one. Thanks Nintendo.congrats!!!
Oh and i want Sadness beyond bad.
xbox360 isnt even on it lol
The XBox360 couldn't have been on it since it came out the year before. It was only for 2006. If so then XBox360 would have been placed higher than PS3 IMO.
Awesome..... but I think intel core duo is great they should put that at number 1 way to go nintendo WONDERFUL!
am I STILL the only one that finds that MS Office 2007 was number one? personally, I find a rehashed suite that's been around for YEARS to be nothing special. at all. kinda disheartening...
