Yesterday's overblown rumor regarding a spree of "cancellations" at Konami's Japanese headquarters have proven to be quite untrue. Konami has stated that all the previously listed games, including Gradius and the Wii's eagerly anticipated "Action Adventure 2," are still in the works. The chopped release lists printed in the pages of Famitsu and Dengeki have been attributed to simple error.

So what happened? Sadly, the magazine provides no details. However, you'll notice that none of the the cancelled games have actual names yet. It's possible that Konami had intended to make the games, but decided to go in a different direction.

He said that it's proven wrong. This isn't old news. The old article said that they were canceled, but this article says it's straight from Konami's mouth: Famitsu misinterpreted.

i dunno, the protaganist, Hero 1, seems a little generic, and Villian 1 just isn't very evil. i was hoping for more from Konami

I loved the first Metal Gear and it was hard. Had some crazy enemies when you think about it too. Scorpions in the desert maze for instance...

I read in a magazine the other day that it might happen in the form of a "port".

whatever happens, lets just hope that main character 1 in Role playing game
is equipped with body armor 1 and weapon 1 to deal with these kind of happenings.

What about monster 1?

Regardless, I can't wait until Konami releases New Masturbation Challenge Game 1!
