HELL NO! This CAN'T happen. It would be downright terrible not only for Sony and Nintendo but for the gaming industry in general.
Stick this one under rumor of the day. According to inside sources (speaking to the usually credible Evil Avatar), Microsoft has nearly completed its acquisition of Capcom. Yes, you read that correctly: "nearly completed." Not "Microsoft is considering it," but that they've already done the deed. Frankly, we find it a little suspicious that Capcom would sell just as it's reaping some of the best success it's had in years (Dead Rising, anyone?). Then again, a good chunk of that success can certainly be attributed to Microsoft's platform (Dead Rising again, and Lost Planet). Still, we find it hard to believe that Capcom would give up all the multiplatform cash, but if anyone has enough money to convince them otherwise, it's Microsoft. If true, it would be quite a move by MS, securing them the rights to several of gaming's most popular franchises. The ramifications of having Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Onimusha, Street Fighter, and Dead Rising exclusive to one console would be staggering, especially for the competition.

i hope this is just rumours no more great games that could release for nintendo. i mean i would die if they made resident evil games exclusive. i love the those games. i

I hope this isn't true. Microsoft just wants CAPCOM to produce more hits for them.
NNNOOOOO!!!!!! DAMNIT!!!!

I hope this isn't true. Microsoft just wants CAPCOM to produce more hits for them.
i hope ur right
NNNOOOOO!!!!!! DAMNIT!!!!
i feel ur pain
Come on Bill Gates! Stick with computers and stop making video games! Or if you have to make video games stop buying all the good companies! you already got Rare!
I find the source "www.xbox360fanboy.com" to be questionable to say the least. I also think Capcom is way too big of a company to just be outright bought without anybody else knowing. Sure developers like Rare and Naughty Dog have been acquired in the past, but there has never been a company as big as Capcom acquired before. But I suppose there's a first time for everything...Here's hoping not.
If this is true. Nintendo needs to buy SEGA before Microsoft does...OH BUT I'M JUST A FANBOY, What do I know?
If Microsoft buys SEGA next, I'll be here to congratulate FPS Nate with the Moron of the Year award.
i'm with GlueGun. an xbox360 fanboy site breaks the news, and there's no reference for it. how the hell does that guy know what's going on? Capcom's website has nothing about it nor XBox's. this thing's so full of holes. screw this. Capcom's in with all 3 platforms, and i think likes Nintendo more anyway. why would they make RE4 originally GC exclusive? and they wanted to make several other exclusives, even if most were cancelled. Capcom's not selling out to anyone
Won't happen.

Why would Capcom even need to give themselves into this? They'll make more money by having hits on all three consoles than just one + 360 doesn't do as well in Japan as the other two consoles.
oh so true. only way Capcom would sell out would be to get the money from the sale, disband the company and start another company with the same people and the money
ohhh that would be such an awesome burn on MS

This rumor better be a lie!!!!
If not, I'm gonna die!
ooh! that rhymes! =D
if i make it high up in whatever huge gaming company i work for after i graduate, i would totally do that. i wanna give such a huge F U to MS
I dont care for Capcom games anymore anyway.
regardles of what happens Resident Evil 5 will not be on the Wii.. atleast not in the same form. I would see a spin off maybe on the wii but thats about it.
why not? the over-the-shoulder shot camera allows the wii-mote pointer to shoot, shake the wii-mote to fight off attacking zombies. i think it fits better on the Wii than PS3 or 360
then there was that Panzer Dragoon-esque game Capcom was making for the 'Cube, Dead Phoenix or something like that. aiming or flying easily controlled by the wii-mote. if they make a Killer 7 sequel "a good one", it'd fit well on the Wii. Okami would be a much better fit on the Wii. making brush strokes with the pointer would be amazing
there's just too much Capcom could do with the Wii, and the graphical abilities of the PS3 will NOT be underminded by Capcom. they're not going anywhere
*points at Resident Evil Wii*
