I don't think there are any straight VGA hookups for the Wii and I'd be surprised if Nintendo was planning on making them. If you're that desperate to play the Wii on a computer monitor, your best bet is probably a converter.

I have one of these, and it works okay for simple recording purposes. You'll need a hardware encoder for anything more major.

Z6Joker9 - you'll find those almost weekly on http://www.woot.com for really cheap.

In fact, I got them from Woot, but I wouldn't say you can find them weekly. Even from Woot, they were only $1 less than that eBay auction, and no waiting.
