I mean, if SSBB gets too nerfed and a bunch of good characters are dropped then SSBM will continue to live on.
I went to the Smashfest yesterday and even though the game is on its way out everyone is still enthusiastic about it. Everyone.

I love that old favorites still stick around, even when the technology is outdated and obsolete. Such as, dare I say, Goldeneye for the 64? My friend(s) and I still play it. Harcore, mo' fo'.
Being shown that people still have (major) fun with old/retro games, even some deemed 'over rated', surprises me. I really want to meet the people who are "stuck" in the past and really want to have a sit-down discussion with them.[/awkward rant]
