ZOMFG!

In two days I'm traveling 2 hours south to the capital city of my state to engage in an Australian wide SSBM tournament.

Why is this posted here? Because it will no doubt go off topic xD especially since I'm not gonna be here as often for a week.

Anyway... there are a little under 60 other competitors coming to this tournament, and omg... such prize money will be up for grabs.

Three guys who have gone over to America will be playing against me as well (Cronos_Rainbow, CAOTIC, and BringerofDeath)

Needless to say, I'm shaking in my little SSBM boots.

Come here to wish me luck, flame me, question me, and other such things. When vids are online I will be posting them here as well as the final standings and photos.

I'll keep the forum informed if I have access to the internet at some stage between the 20th to the 27th.

I have been practicing for months, man I only just realised it now lol.

So far my schedule is:

Saturday, 20th January - Smashfest: 11am-8pm
Wednesday, 24th January - Smashfest: 11am-8pm
Friday, 26th January - Austars vs. Victoria Crew Battle try out: 11am-5pm
Saturday, 27th January - COMRADES of ANFOLOGY - Final Entrouage: 9am-9pm

i have no idea what any of that means. i'm sure it's very exciting though

Smashfest is where we get as many Smashers as we can in the one place and play nonstop friendly matches of SSBM for the whole day. Perfect practice and also perfect opportunity to study possible opponents.

And the crew battle is basically the Best of Australia vs. the Best of Victoria which is my state.

Since Victoria has the best Smash players in Australia they decided it'd be fun. So 10 vs. 10, 4 stock each, 8 minute time limit. Try-outs on 26th and I'm aiming for a place in the Victoria team.

And Comrades is the tournament. It goes for 12 hours. Sign ups are at 9am. Doubles matches start at 10.30am. Single tournament starts at 12.30pm. Low Tier tournament starts at 5.30pm. And the Austars vs. Victoria Crew Battle starts at 7pm.

and out of all that, how much do you KNOW you'll be participating in?

@ Nomad. I'll be involved in the two Smashfests as a competitor maybe cameraman when I'm not playing. And I'll be participating in singles, low tier and MAYBE doubles. And the crew match, well I'll post how I go on the 26th.

@ Dume. One day when your rich you can come over and compete in the Australian SSBB tournaments I'll be helping organise. But I actually intend on traveling America for Smash experience when I have a break from Uni next year + the spare cash.

@ FPS. Aaaaah, okay. Well Canada + Australia ftw! Lol.

I could probably find my way there some day. I have aunts, uncles, and cousins (many of each. My dad has a large family. During [or was it before] a/the war in Croatia most of them emigrated to Australia. A couple stayed around while my dad jetted off to Germany and then Canada) who live in Melbourne, Perth, and the surrounding areas.

@ Kindrik. Hope you do one day, its great over here. This tournament is being held in Melbourne. Lol.

Lol we'll see. I've seen him play, and he has the advantage of having played over in America at OC2. Thats lightyears more than what I've done lol.
