There is going to be a new Ds for 2007. It has the featuers such as brightness,biggerscreens and i think a built in media player. Still only 130$.
This had better not be true, if it is I have wasted time getting a DSLite.

I find this hard to believe...
I'd think if anything that if Nintendo launched any new handheld this year it would be the rumored Gameboy Evolution console around Q4 of this year. There isn't much logic in launching another DS after installing such a large base already, nobody, except the die-hard gamers with no lives will be dropping their DS Lite's for them.
Personally, I am content with the screen size and brightness of the Lite model. Anything bigger on this gens handheld is just an unnecessary luxury, in my opinion.
I'm fairly certain the Game Boy line is dead now.
umm, game boys died with the SP. the DS isn't a Game Boy. it's just a Nintendo DS. so question is, how far will the DS line go? will the next handheld have a touch screen? will it be backwards compatible? if so, how far back or what handhelds? maybe just GBA andback
i've heard nothing about a new handheld from Nintendo, so i'm gonna just stick with my DS (and no it's not a Lite. let the flaming begin) and enjoy what i have. i'll look forward to the next generation when there's alot more info released

yes I just don't see this happening with the success of the ds right now. I mean of course you could speculate as to the nest generation portable for nintendo, but for the next at least 2 years I figure for nintendo to cash in with games sold for all the ds lites sold this winter.
