According to Next Gen Ireland Midway has gone public with Mortal Kombat Armageddon's release date and another intriguing detail. Apparantly the game will be released on March 15th and better yet, it will be the first Wii title to use Nintendo's Online Network.

I don't know where they got this from since there's no source given or even mentioned. I hope Midway has something official to say about this soon.

I wont get this game, because I heard Armageddon sucks and that I would get raped Online. DBZ BT 2 should be online.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if I'll get it or not but it's good that it has online play. Let's see how it works with the Wii codes. I'm very curious.

Ireland made the announcement so does that mean it will be the first online game over seas? Or is that news for here? For some reason I don't think it will be the first US online game.

April? Well, if MK: A is the first online game for the Wii then that means it will be Q2 and not end of Q1 as some (including myself) thought.

I will get this game not only for the online, but even if not I played it for the 360 and loved it I'm an MK fan lol can't help it SUB ZERO RULEZ!!! but so does Samus

Mortal Kombat kicks severe ass in terms of fighting games.

a few days ago, ebgames.com had 3/1 as the shipping date for Armageddon, but I checked today and now they have it listed as 5/1

I've heard the same thing, plus IGN has another MK game listed for release later this year so I would wait for that one.

I love Mortal Kombat 2 but I prefer the 2D version. 3D fighting games are so much weaker than 2D fighting games IMO.

For everyone who is to lazy to read.... there are a lot of Infos about MK.... and there is official (!) said that MK: Armageddon wouldn't have online play.

Yeah, I agree on the SF part 2. I love all the old fighting games such as Marvel vs Capcom 1 & 2 as well and they just wouldn't be the same in 3D.

I also think you've finally put to rest the question of will MK be online/will it be for the first game online with your find.
