Well, it has usb capabilities. I don't see why not.

The gamecube had online capabilities, but it only had like 1 online game

01-21-2007, 04:53 PM
Was Phantasy Online the only online game?
01-21-2007, 04:58 PM
It's interesting, they should do some kind of wireless thing. It doesn't look too well from it's design standpoint though. We'll see.

Maybe. Its a possibility but I personally probably wouldn't want to use it..

Headsets would be cool, but aren't essential for online. Besides, I'd probably use the mute option to avoid hearing kids who sound like Halo online kiddies. God headsets can be a blessing/curse.

Well, Nintendo isn't one to let you talk while your playing a game, so, I dunno....
01-21-2007, 08:22 PM
I would really love it if Nintendo came out with headsets for online play and i would buy them in a heart beat.
01-22-2007, 04:23 AM
It's very possible that they could come out with something like this but knowing them they'd worry that someone would shout profanity (of course it will happen) and think that it may influence kids to do the same (yes, I know basicaly all kids do it, I'm just saying what they'd probably say)

Well isn't there a slight feature of chat in Metroid Prime Hunters or was I being lied to when I heard about that.
01-22-2007, 06:57 AM
chat would be cool but having never used a headset in a game i don't know how well i would take to it......i may go into shock!!!

I'd probably get one, then listen to the bunch of kids saying they'll rape my mom, then listen to the silence when I kill them. I like that silence...it's nice.
01-22-2007, 02:59 PM
I'd use it a lot if there were options to mute specific people.
I was kinda upset you couldn't use the mic in the ds for talking to folks on wi-fi play.

I think it will happen because if nintendo is going to enable Freind codes for all online games then you would only be talking to your buddys and not rappers...
01-22-2007, 05:20 PM
It seems very plausible. However, there is the inescapable problem of profanity-users when playing online, so that may be a thing to think about for those that are younger.

um... I realize it's an honest typo, but that reads REALLY funny. I think you meant rapers
"Hey, Joe, what's up?"
"Foo! Dis ain't Joe, I'm Fitty $ent!"
oh, rappers... when will they learn?

If they did make a headset it would have to be 100% wireless. Maybe have it plug into the remote and then at the end it would allow another attachment to be put in.
Wii Remote <--- Headset Reciever <---- Nunchuk
But all these things would kill remote battery life so have a USB reciever would be more logical.

I'm putting my chips on iPodChic-White Bluetooth Headsets That sort of hug your ear, Think original XBL Headsets without the bit that goes round the back of your head. I would do a quick sketch, but OMGCBAATMTBHWTF?

Yeah, Nintendo really does need to release a headset/mic when they go full online. Team-based games would really benefit from it, and chatting in vs. matches is always fun.
MS is leading by example here, as the headset/mic can be used for virtually any/all games (can't think of any that DON'T work, atm). If you want an online experience worth returning to, communication is key.
