Now before I talk about any graphics crap, D: DOC

Now once you see that guys face in the game, it looks like Ps3 or Xbox 360 graphics, plus the volcano and (um.....) big wave (don't want to spell that word that starts with a 'T' wrong.)

So it makes you wonder, is the Wii's graphics going to go up to 720i/p? Even 1080i/p.

If so, I suspect D: DOC to not be out till 2008. But even if the graphics go over 480p, older games will probobly not look better anyways.

But there may other reasons, maybe a Wii-ware update would be possible to maqke graphics better, maybe its just the DVD that has the power to make its own graphics better, or even a Wii V.2.

But all in all, this proves that in one way or another, the Wii's graphics WILL improve, such as with D: DOC, thoughts?

UPDATE** Ok, I can tell you right now that's a video, and after playing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, I know that the graphics won't change much. The marvel videos were insanely detailed and looked ps3 quality, but when you jump in the game, it's back to what you expect from the wii. I wouldn't doubt some nice upgrades in the soft/hard ware region. Well, at least software.
Nope, the longest one is the one I posted wich is 32 seconds long XD.
not much there actually, too soon to tell IMO
Teh Gwafics wook shweeet.
Nice looking graphics but considering there hasn't been any gameplay shown it might just be CGI or something...
Dude, theres some gameplay shots in there that look pretty good.
The game trailer looks nice and it looks like an interesting game to me. Even if the graphics aren't on a PS3 or XBox360 level, if the gameplay is good then I'm getting it.
The graphics are definitely good enough. I look forward to hearing more about this game.
Wow the graphics look awesome! Plus there was some gameplay footage that looked great too...Big Grin
Yea, well i'm not so sure its the video makeing it look good, I dunno, but by any reasons, future graphics of the Wii will look batter, maybe even 720p!
Well, they did say Wii would have 2x the GameCube's power. Think about that, LoZ:TP was a GAMECUBE game and it looked great and another was RE4, both great looking games, and supposedly Wii CAN double that.
Did we watch the same video? I know we're all pulling for the Wii, but if my Xbox 360 produced that, I'd be pissed as hell.
Remember, that we've never been told the actual specs of the ATI graphics chip. I see no reason why there can't be an update to give us better over-all Wii graphics. If the Xbox 360 can get an update and do 1080p out of a componant cable, then I see no reason why Nintendo can't do an update and push 720p or 1080i.

I don't think anyone has ever mentioned this before, but has anyone ever thought that both the graphics chip and processor might have been launched underclocked? I mean, since Nintendo would never give us any hard numbers on the speed, they might be able to release updates that could give us more processor and graphics power.
Maybe. But it seems odd they would underclock their system.
Wii wil NEVER produce anything higher than 480p. Nintendo kept HD out of it. Knowing Nintendo, I don't think they'd release something to upgrade to 720 or 1080.

Look, knowing what I know about these machines (a lot), I can tell you a few things. First of all, if systems were underclocked, individual games could not change the console clock.

It doesn't draw enough power to be close to the 360 or PS3 (no, theres no chip magical enough to do that).

The GPU (hollywood) in the Wii is an X series derivitive consisting of a clock of 243 MHz. the 360 Xeneon is a derivitive of the higher series (= to about an x1900) R80, with a 500 MHz clock speed.

It's too small, and too inefficient heating.

Problem with the Wii is even 720p would be probably too much, 480p is the highest stable they can offer. Since I don't believe it has a scaler, I don't think it can just update to a resolution either.

The broadway is not nearly as powerful as the Xenon.

It's too small of a case, and just look at it's power. Even first gen games are too lacking in this dept. to say it will come even close to other games. I don't mean to say it like this, but get over it, the Wii is underpowered compared to the other two, and will be. End of story, the Wii will always be underpowered.
