Its just something that people will give you if you post an interesting thread, or write a good post.
But it can also be given to you for being funny in Off Topic. Lol.

Tadaa, you've got 2 reps now! Yeah as mentioned above, you can get reps from other people if they like a comment you made, think you're funny, and you can even win rep sometimes in contests. I've only had two small contests, actually 3 (forgot the Frosty one) and get rep that way. Always pay attention to sigs sometimes and maybe you can find a surprise! Also, off topic is where you will find any contests normally for rep. Hope this helps.
I have a question! I saw hiz 2 reps from 1 person. why iz that? how much rep can...lets say Cloud, give to a newbie in 1 rep?

Sages can give two reps at once
Most staff can give 3 reps at once
Super Mods can give 4 reps at once
Joker and Myself can give 5 reps at once

I think this is a little much. I have no issues with the choices Cloud has made in his personally life, and since we don't need to see some blatant heterosexual humor on here about sex, we really don't need the opposite either.

I can't give 3. I can only give 1. 
I can give more than one but not at one time. Is there a limit to how many points you can give in one day or a 24 hour period?
There's a limit of 5 a day on registered users
and 10 a day on sages
