I saw this, but I wouldn't have done it even if I didn't have a Wii yet because I would want to keep my GC controller. They expect everything (cables, controller) when you're trading in. I would've just bought it for full price.

Trading stuff in at GameStop/EB is for the birds. It's a straight up rip-off. Seriously. I managed to get $120 for my GCN, RE:4 and Mario Kart on eBay over the holidays. People should start watching Get Smart, then maybe they'll actually think twice about trading stuff into a crooked retail monopoly.

well of course this sounds like a good deal but lets think about this if you went into gamestop JUST to trade in you GCN and they offered 50 bucks you would refuse....but with this deal it looks like they are taking it off your hands because the wii can replace it and the value of the GCN is irrelivant

i stood behind a guy inline at gamestop and watched him turn in his game cube and controller for 27 dollars..... i thought to myself for 27 bucks i would have just kept it....thats why we wont get rid of ours....

Look at what PT said guys. He sold his on eBay and got much more than EB would ever give you. They always rip people off. You could probably find so many people who would give you more than double what EB offers. I still have my GC too. I don't play it since I have the Wii now but I won't sell it for 25 dollars though.

Mana is right. They never really give you for what the system is truly worth. I remember trying to trade in my Xbox when it messed up, they were going to take it, but the guy said that because it didn't have a controller with it, I would actually be PAYING him 20 bucks to give it to them! I didn't go for it.

Have fun finding a gamestop that has the Wii in stock by Jan 28th.
