Next Monday when you check out your the Wii's shop channel you will find that Mario Kart 64 will be added to the list (assuming you live in North America). Although it may lack the new drift features on the GameCube and DS it still holds it's own against the two and was by far the greatest kart racer of it's generation.

Eh, i already have it for my N64 which still works so i dont need it, but its good news for people that wanted it for VC.
I'd be a little more exited if I didn't own Mario Kart DS, but at least people can stop complaining that there is only one N64 game on the Virtual Console.
By the way, where do find VC release info? I'd like to check it out
Nintendo just releases bits of info if it's something big (ie. Mario Kart 64, Link to the Past) but usually we just find out after the games are already online.
I like the trend I'm seeing so far now. They're starting to release some great games on the VC with Link to the Past and now Mario Kart 64. If they keep this up then it will be great. Also good to see another N64 title being released.
i used to love this game but when i started playing it on my n64 i was playin gon 150cc and i swear down on every race i be in the lead for the whole race then as soon as im about to past the finish line someone always over takes me so now i hate it.

agreed. I loved that game for the multiplayer the most. My friends and I used to play for so many hours. A lot of cheating was involved by friends pull out other friend's controllers, covering of eyes, bumping off the coach, chair, bed or whatever we were sitting on at the moment, etc... Good times.
