on the forums that I'm on its actually People's Choice awards lol. I wont say the site, because I dont know if its Advertisement, Its just like, someone brings a bunch of topics, ( which Can be discussed among mods and sages I guess) then they bring it out to the public with a bunch of Slots for choices and stuff
Then everyone has to say copy and post it and just put names in the topic who you think should Win, and you cant put yourself.

This sounds like a great idea but I'm about to go to work so I dont' have much time now to leave suggestions but off the top of my head we could have awards every month for 1) Rookie of the month (newcomer), 2) Sig of the month, 3) Avatar of the month, 4) comment of the month, etc...
