I dont know about the rest of you but after playing Zelda (on horseback) and remembering the sleeper, yet hit in my eyes, GUN, wouldn't a Wii update just be something worth developers working on?
I really enjoyed the game play of GUN...not too many wild west shoot out like games on the modern consoles. All shooters are either futuristic or WWII games.
The biggest change I would make would be using more of a fps style (red steel) with horse back being more of a lock on shooting system similar to Zelda.
The game play would be laid out as follows.
Nunchuk control stick, moves character on foot and horse, other vehicles?
C-button could be used to crouch...cause its easy to remember and most games use it.
Z-button could be used to bring up special weapons like a dagger, dynamite or bow and arrow...when they are in the second weapon holder.
I could foresee using the nunchuk motion to throw dynamite, swing a secondary dagger/knife, throw beer bottles and hit your horse to get it moving faster.
Pushing the nunchuk towards doors will open them up. Dock over tables for cover and grabbing an attacker will use him as a shield for protection.
Wiimote controls will be similar to shooting mechanics of fps games already out. There will be an on screen reticle to show your guns cursor.
I'd really like to see a weapon selection screen closer to that of Zelda.
so the - will operate the item selection which can be assigned to any of the d-pad buttons. active weapon moves to the b-trigger. A weapons secondary mode will be the A button. For instance, pistol A button is a pistol whip. Knives can be thrown. Shotgun can be turned into a double power shot. Rifle goes into Zoom mode.
+ button can be used cycle through the games menu options. Use wiimote to select and advance through the menus.
D-pad goes as follows:
Up-brings up menu, map, objectives
Right, Left, Down - items
1 button brings up current Map location and pressing again cycles through zoomed versions.
2 button brings up objectives
I would really like to see the premise of the game continue in the lines of the first one, but maybe give the option customize the characters appearance. I could see using the Tony Hawk character customizer of the old games. You could mix and match various tattoos, head gear, hats, facial look, pants, boots...etc.
What do you think?
