Every female gamer can tell you at one time or another they have been insulted or hit on by another male gamer during an online game session or on a Web site in the comments or forums. It’s not fun and it hurts to have people act in such a way, but I don’t think that most female gamers understand that guys aren’t picking on them because they are women, but because they can pick on anybody.

I know a few female gamers, one of them is one of the countries best SSBM players.

The internet is where pissed off fanboy douches spawn because they are 40 living in their parents basement, haven't made contact with any human except the pizza delivery service since the fattest, most unpopular girl in school turned them down when asked to go to prom, and nobody would listen to them in person anyway
if i ever get word-raped by some dude online that thinks he's hot stuff, i just tell him that he's an idiot, and i cant help it if ive got "shock absorbers" and a voice that distracts him from a game (as nice as possible, of course). we go back and forth, and then at the end of the night ive gained three new friends (the idiot included). ^^ ive gotten so used to the random idiots that play the games and dont know the female gender exists that it doesnt bother me. and female gamers have to stop letting it bother them, cause when that happens, guys will start to lose interest in picking on them. what fun is it if you dont get the response you were looking for?
heck, ive met more guys online that just accept me as one of them than guys that ridicule me; i think that's why i became such a fudging smart-arse, and also how i got as openly dirty/perverted as i am in my mannerisms/word choices/thoughts...wait. that means guys really are evil beings trying to suck my innocence out of me and make me cry. WAAAA!
