I must say that the game is alot more promising then the box art.
its awesome. Almost like being some form of Neo. I powered up my jumping by getting 20+ orbs and when ever In trouble on the street level I just jumped on top of a tall building. Demo rocks!
Im glad that they didnt just give you alll the strength and skills at the start. Then it would be really boring, and too easy.
Earning it. Thats the best part of it, knowing that every kill gets you something.

I'm def. going to check it out this weekend. I've seen JM online playing it a few times this week, and have been meaning to ask if you thought it was worthy for a d/l. I've got my answer, so now it's my turn to try it out.
it's def. worth a d/l. i could play the demo and not get bored. same goes for THP8.
here's what i wrote about it on another forum:
finally played the crackdown demo last night and nope, didnt like it. i loved the visuals though. makes me wish there was a new jet set radio being made. animations were good. sound effects were good too. the only thing i didnt like was the gameplay. controls were decent but it felt like i was always having to adjust the camera. if it had a button to re-center your screen, that would make it a lot more enjoyable. i thought this game would get me to like these sandbox type of games, but nope, still cant get into them. didnt like any of the GTA games once they went 3D and i still dont any of the other sandbox games.
there was some fun things about it. i love how insane the gunfights become. standing up on the ferris wheel and seeing tons of peeps on screen at once was really cool. i also liked how they presented each boss/gang.
then after another go at it:
(little back story: the guy who previously posted before me said the game was boring and there was nothing to do in the game)
dude. the main part of the game are the orbs. it's kinda like the more you use a certain thing, the better you get at it by leveling it up. when i played, i leveled up my agility. i was leaping from building tops to building tops. sorta feels like youre free running. my bro leveled up the car attribute and when you get into your special vehicle, it morphs depending on your skill. he also beefed up his strength and he was picking up and throwing cars near the end of the demo. it's fun. with 2 player co-op, im sure it'll have its moments. im still on the fence on this one, but i think im certain i wont get it. i have too many games to go through at teh moment.
So for the most part it all boils done to taste. The game presentation is pretty sweet. Something on the lines of the Matrix's Agents. I ike that part really, the leveling up of skillls. I didnt know that as your driving skill progresses, your vehicle also changes!
Sounds cool, but the game is worth the fun is senseless meaningless violence and the additional invite for the Halo 3 beta.
I can't wait for this game. I like the GTA series but this one looks great and I will be getting this one opening day.
Microsoft is just beasting it with the games these days! (Nothing against Sony or Nintendo at all, so don't kill me).
It looks like they have a good line up this year too. It's about time too. It's only been a year and a half. (I love the Big N machine, too)
they have... so many good games.

for those who have been holding out, like myself, for a price drop or a good deal, i've found it!
play-asia is selling it for $33(total). you get the Lupin-looking box art, and even possibly the halo 3 beta invite(it's not the reason why i'm getting it though). it's a region free game, so all the text and language in-game will remain in english. the only thing that will probably be different is the text on the back of the case and the instruction booklet. that'll probably be in japanese... or some other asian language.
btw, this is a legit site. i know a lot of people who use it and swear by it. they do not sell pirated or bootleg copies.

PlayAsia is a huge site and they are NOT scam artists like greaser said. This game does look great and from what everyone is saying about it, it make me want to try it so bad. Damn my cash flow problems!
