Well I haven't been around here in a while, but I saw this today and figured I would mention it.

so I got my new issue of Game Informer magazine today. There's a nice little article in here about Super Smash Brothers: Brawl, but it doesn't really mention anything we don't already know. They mention something about a few stages, like a mario kart stage similar to the f-zero one in Melee, and what seemed like destructible environments. Oh, they did mention a release date too. They didn't say anything about it, but it was posted and caught my eye.



It says June 1st by the way, I know it's a little fuzzy, it came from my phone.
That's my way of proof and source.

There's still just too much speculation though, especially about what other characters will make an appearance. They're saying Donkey Kong will more then likely be there (well of course) and even they are anticipating Sonic this time around.

A little side note, I saw somewhere about there being a connection between Super Smash Brothers and Warner Brothers... That could be interesting...

It's probably just a generalization for Q3.

Either just taking a guess, or trying to fuel speculation.

June 1 is not the release date, cause that day is a friday, and when have you've recently a game release on friday. the usually release on mon. or tues.

Oh man if I hear this June 1st rumour one more time I am going to snap. It's just not happening. I wish these magazines/websites would stop making up tentative release dates and just put "TBA 2007".

I'm sick of all this speculation... I kinda just don't care anymore. Screw magazines and whatever other media, I'm waiting for a bloody press release from Sakurai

Good luck on that. I predict silence for several more months at this rate and a huge flood of info at the downsized E3.

The Warner Bros thing is about the new Looney Tunes game coming later this year to Wii & the 360. The 360 version will have online play but the Wii version won't, which is weird because by that time there should be dozens of online Wii games out.

i wish this was true. i can wait till june 1st. that's not TOO far away

Unfortunately speculation seems to fuel Nintendo lol.

I predict that we want here any 'official' release date until this year's E3. They'll probably be showing it off and give us some more video of new characters (probably a big surprise one like Snake) to wet our appetites again and make the wait even harder.

i'm sadened by GI's speculation. they've always posted quarterly release dates instead of end of quarter dates like June 1. they may've just heard that June 1 was the latest it'd be released and printed that up. you also have to remember that the info GI gets is roughly a month ahead of when it arrives at your door/store. this is more likely something we knew 3 weeks ago to be "true" and it changed again

Just to let you know, thats basic marketing scemes. So if they tease us and tease us, they will not come out with the realese date untill mcuh much latter...
