Okay, right now my Wii has been in update mode for the last 37 minutes, and the status bar doesn't seem to have moved at all.
Is the News Channel really big, and therefore needs a lot of time for download, or is something wrong with my Wii?
(prays it won't be the latter)
Didn't take that long for mine. Maybe it jammed, maybe the server is slammed?
Yea, mine took like 40 seconds.
Mine took 3 minutes, your internet might be slow...
It's your connection. Mine wasn't working to well at first but then I adjusted my Wireless Connection adn presto! It only take a few minutes after that.
mine use to go slow then i put my router on channel 11 and it made my wii go a lot faster took me a minute to download the update
Okay, I figured it out. Obviously nothing was happening at all.
I turned the power off, and then back on. I then proceeded to try again. It actually moved this time!
I now have the News Channel.
There ya go! All is well with the world!

i found that out too when i first got mine. incomplete updates don't render your wii unplayable! :D
