Now don't think any lower of me if i say this but, for the past 5 years i have had only a Gameboy Advanced and never really liked the DS...
I always thought that the touch screen was a loud of crap and nothing good would come of it... Then 7 months ago i started going to my freinds house and playing his...I had so much fun that i wanted to get one really bad. I eventually decided that i wanted to get a wii more than a DS...Now that i have my wii i really want to get a DS.
So, can you guys tell me prices, the best games and the diffrence between the light and the phat.

The Lite is very, very much worth it. I have both, and the Lite is smaller, lighter, brighter, and more stylish. Virtually all of the complaints I had with the original DS were fixed by the Lite. Seriously though, the smaller size and brighter screen alone is worth the difference.
New Super Mario Bros (unquestionable), Tetris DS (if you like Tetris and want multiplayer), Mario Kart DS (possibly the best mario kart to date, including console versions), and Metroid Prime: Hunters (if you like FPS's)
Not to mention that Mario Kart is a great multiplayer game. At school there's almost always a Wi-Fi match or two going on at lunch time.
Mario kart is awesome for multiplayer. but one game that wasn't mentioned is Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney. That game is aweomse.
You can get a used fatty 1 for 89 bucks at ebgames/gamestop. a local gamestore might have it for even cheaper
the ds lite is 129 bucks used, not sure about a used price

Elite Beat Agents is awesome, ut not everyone likes rythm games.
both Castlevanias are great, Metroid Prime, Trauma Center, Final Fantasy III and Children of Mana are great RPGs. what kind of games do you like in general?

DS = $120 new, $80 used
DS Lite = $130 new, $90 used
Don't forget FFIII, the only FF that has NEVER been to the US before.
Also, Diddy Kong Racing comes out in Feb. It'll include karts, planes and hovercraft + a map editor, so you can create your own tracks and share them over wi-fi. Lastly, the vehicles are upgradable.
If you have Wifi and you find a nice Animal Crossing: Wild World site (I know one if you decide to get the game) Get AC:WW its fun on Wifi but after awhile of playing it... it gets repetitive. 30 bucks US.
I just bought my DS the other day. I payed about 130 to 140 for it new. I also picked up FFIII, I suggest that game to anyone, it's great and very addictive. I would definately suggest Metroid Prime: Hunters if you like FPS games.
And MPH if you have Wifi.

Srry but wtf is that game about? I really prefer get MPH, new super mario bros is way to eazy, no wifi so it plain old sucks and its weird why you PEOPLE like that game when I would rate it 6.7
Well if you like Mario Kart, I have DKR and much better graphics and gameplay juss that not much people play. Also with much more stuff like boats and planes. Mario Kart I'd rate 8.6 but wifi is really fun on it. But DKR with great characters and a better story mode, lus great wifi 8.8
Well MPH is only good if you have Wifi AND if you have some freinds or a clan becuz its not fun to play with some1 you dont know, you cant talk to them but you can add them as rival. But you cant talk to them to join your game, and also not only that TO MUCH HACKERS these days, or should I say glitching noobs, alt noobs all of that.
