It has been discovered that those of you who have a My Nintendo account at Nintendo.com and have purchased certain games have received some bonus material for it. This includes a downloadable wallpaper for those who have Gunstar Heroes on the VC. Along with bonus content after logging into your My Nintendo Account you will see that it now lists the VC games you've purchased alongside the Nintendo games you've registered. Full article below.
For those of you who have linked your My Nintendo account name to your Wii, you now have a couple goodies to check out. If you log into you My Nintendo account at Nintendo.com, you will now see your Virtual Console purchases listed in your outline of registered games. On top of that, some of the Virtual Console games have downloadable content. For example, Gunstar Heroes offers up the downloadable wallpaper you see below. Huge thanks to Matt for the heads up! I actually noticed this about a week ago when my account said I registered the Wii internet browser.
Lol, I never check my My Nintendo account so I actually never noticed anything. Last time I went to Nintendo.com was to register Wario Ware and then I left.
I actually noticed this a few days ago. It's pretty cool. Twilight Princess has a downloadable manual.

If you register your games you may or may not receive some bonus material. I know that if you register I believe one hardware and two games then you get a free three month subscription to Nintendo Power. You may also get other stuff such as downloadable wallpapers.
Heh, yeah looks like most VC games you buy will garner you a general virtual console wall paper, while some have game specific variations.
here's what i found of the ones i own:
altered beast: reg VC wallpaper
dk jr: reg
golden axe: reg
gunstar: game specific
bomberman; game spec.
street fighter, r-type, contra III - these didnt have any, in fact when i clicked em in my list it just sent me back to my prof. lame i want a contra one.
meh, i think i made an account to nintendo.com, but i forgot what it was

I've linked my account with my VC account and it's still not showing any of my VC games yet....not sure why i really care about this, but for some reason I really do
Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 are both there, along with the Internet Browser which is a little strange.
I'll have to check to see what my account it showing. I didn't notice if it showed the internet channel or not.
I havent been on My Nintendo in a loooooooooooong time.
