Does anyone have any information on how many games are going to use the classic remote for the Wii? i know almost all virtual console games use but, but what about future Wii games. I have one and i was wondering if i should buy another.
also i was thinking of buying a Wavebird remote because it can be used on all the games the classic remote can and then some. Anyone agree or have an opinion?
All VC games will use the classic remote so you should at least have 2 for 2 player games or maybe 4 for games like bomberman if you get it. According to amazon there are no current games that use the classic remote. None come to mind for me but perhaps future games may support them. Wish I could help you more than that but hopefully that helps some.
Doesn't the new MK game support the classic?
MK Armageddon is gonna support all 3 controllers (Remote, Classic, and GCN)
Dragonball Z can use the classic remote. I've got the game, but no classic remotes.
Well, there you go. 3 games that can use it already so I guess it would be a good idea.
Thanks everyone, i appreciate the help.
It has also been said that SSBB will probably support the classic controller in order to keep it's old feel intact on the Wii. I know I'll be picking a few up whenever I find out when SSBB is going to hit.
so its better to get the classic remote over the wavebird, am i right? i was never a huge fan of the gamecube controller layout to begin with.
Along the same lines, Does anyone know if the classic will work with GC games. I'd like to finally play GC Zelda, but need to know if I have to get a Wavebird or the classic.

Nope you need to have a GC controller for GC games. i picked up a wavebird used for 20 bucks from gamestop. they are nice i like the fact they are bigger than the wired ones.

Cool thanks for the help!

I find it's well worth it but you should check out My Review, it may help you to decide Really Happy

I've been playing Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 with my GameCube controller and things are perfectly fine with it. Saves me the money I would've spent on the classic controller.
