How do you wii 24connect? through a wifi router or usb adapter? That mite be part of your problem. But ill say just cause it gives you an error first time you click it just hit retry normaly that works for me. Some times that initial connection dosent get made for some reason. I use a usb adapter so i assume its the slower speeds or maybe a timeout problem. donno. but yes i have had it not connect alot i just try 2-3 more times and it does

I am 90% sure that it is ether that there is a problem with your router, your wii can't get a conection for your router, your internet is just to dang slow or your wii is messed up....I'm gona go with ether the wii can't get a signal from your router or your internet is to slow, witch happens if you have dial up and not wireless....

i had the same problem.i just set my router to channel 11 and now it works every time

hmm, I thought routers got the best signal on a lower channel...either way I have had no issue at all

when i called nintendo they told my the wii will preform best when the router is on channel 1 or channel 11. i just happened to chose 11 but both work. i think default for most routers is channel 6.

If your getting a server error, and changing the channel does not work, go into your connection settings and manually enter your DNS codes. I had the same problem as you a month or two back, and this worked like magic

I've had a few problems but only when my internet connection was low. Otherwise I've had no problems whatsoever.

So how do you change channels. I'm stupid when it comes to routers. I've had the same problems as him.

mine never says there's an issue. it just keeps going through the loading screen thing. the rotating ring with a bulge on it. it just keeps spinning. try the home button, nothing. try power on the wii-mote, nothing. end up having to hold the console power for like 5 secs. i don't think it's supposed to do that

I've had this problem, and the simple solution which worked to solve it was to one reset your router. (i.e. unplug it, or go to the settings from your computer by typing in the IP address directly into Firefox or IE).
Next change your channel settings to channel 11, and to shared access!!! Allow time for the router to reset, and you will be golden.
It seems that the reason for having to set the router to channel 11 has something to do with mutliple devices looking for access points, and this channel has the most utility in this regard. Also, it should be noted that even if other channels are working, that doesn't guarantee that all the channels should work since they are all connected to different servers and the router still has to locate them...
Channel 11 will save you all!!!
(Oh, and one more thing, if that doesn't work, go into your Connect settings on the Wii, and set uo the manual setting under advanced; but be sure you do an ipconfig to get all your subnet mask values, and DNS server numbers beforehand).
Hope that is of some help.
