Ok, I get the big key, i'm up ontop of the castle, I enter the place ontop of the castle, Link looks around, the screen blacks out......"Game disc could not be read" WTF!?!?!
This has never happened with my Zelda, not once! So, I try it again, I try restarting and going back to ontop pf the castle, I try cleaning it, but every time, after link looks around, after the screen blacks out, ready for the story, it says "Game disc could not be read"
So I have 2 theorys:
1: The disc just RECENTLY got a scratch on it.
2: Recently I got thse pixel kind of lines on the screen, I thought they would be harmless, and after a bit, I started not noticeing them, but maybe they are the promblem, maybe I have to send my Wii to Nintendo?
(Question: If I put my Zelda memory on an SD card, and get a new Zelda disc on Wii, with the memory still play?)
So what should I do? Please reply!
ugghh....maybe u can trade it in 4 another disc?
probobly....probobly gotta phone the Big N

Cant help you with the over all problem but your answer is yes. you would just probably have to move your save back over to the wii from your sd card when your ready to try and play it again. im not sure if the saves can be read off the sd card. some one here said the VC games cant be so im assuming its the same for saves.

the data is saved to the SD card, not the Game Disc itself. it won't matter if it is a new disc or the same scratched one.

I dont think the save will be read right off the SD card though will it? you have to put it on the Wii internal memory blocks for the game to load the save? now ima have to go test it!
Ok ya just to confirm Kasaioni, if you do send your wii off to nintendo cause you find out its not your zelda disk you will need to copy your save to SD like you said. but when you get your wii back u need to copy it back from the SD to the system. Saves will not read right from your SD card when you play a game. atleast i tested it on my CoD3 save and it wouldnt.
I have a feeling like VC games they didnt make it work like that cause of SD card speeds, would be alot slower times to load/save than to the systems internal memory (ofcorse)
Either way, you can move your save files to an SD card to save yourself the trouble of doing it all again.
I hope this sorta stuff doesn't happen to me.
you could not put a spoiler in the title, you know.
Sorry Big_Al.
Sweet, so I win either way! If I send my Zelda, or my Wii, I still won't have to re-start Zelda! Sweet, yea, once my parents get back next wednesday, i'll ask them to call Nintendo!
I had this happen to me, too. At first I thought it might be that the disc got scratched, so I ejected it. But it looked brand new. Then I tried putting the Wii on it's side (flat), and it took the disc on the first try. Might want to give that a try, along with cleaning the disc around the scratch. At least when this happens, the game can continue at the exact same spot once you get the disc working, instead of crashing.
BTW, which way does the scratch go? If it's from the center out, it usually won't cause skipping unless the scratch is pretty deep. If it's going sideways, it has a much larger chance of causing read problems. If you want to get rid of it, just get some 2000 grit wet sandpaper and some rubbing compound from a local auto store. Use the sandpaper with some water on the scratch, making sure to keep the surface wet. 2000 grit is a mild abrasive, so it won't cause more damage than what's already there, and will sand the surface slowly so it's impossible to make a mistake. Once it looks like the scratch is gone, use the rubbing compound on a damp cotton cloth to bring back the clarity of the disc. Takes a bit of elbow grease, but it's much better than paying/waiting for a new disc.

Didn't work, not useing sandpaper, sending it to Nintendo to get repaired.
Ok, i'm starting to think its not the disc because my sister got all the tears to the second sipirt, and just as its about to go to the cut scene, it can't read the disc, so now it happens every cut scene! (Major ones.)
