Wii Mediacenter X !

As you can probably tell im checking up on the mod scene for the wii and look what i stumbled across! A media center made to work on your wii! i havent seen any news about this yet at many places. probably cause there is some issues with it but you all need to have this link, i have good feelings about this program! I will try it even with the bugs just to see it work! Im not to sure about it yet because you have to use another of their programs to rip your movies into Flash format but we shall see how good it is. I used to use one of Dlinks media centers and its just so nice to be able to stream video/music/imgs to your pc!

Useless, unless it's all you got. Honestly though, Vista Media Center and Xbox 360 using the extender is one sweet combination.

The choices! Teh Cho0cez!!!

Honestly I cant say nothign bad about the Wii and mods for media, because I WANT THAT. But with the 360, I have it already. But Keep us updated on that.
Search more. (link)

I'll have to download this program whenever I have a Wii purchased, and when I have Mac OS X Leopard.
Sry dume i dont normaly search a forum unless im looking for something. didnt realize you have made this post last month when it came out. I didnt even know about it till today so thats y i posted it ^_~. And i hope you get a wii soon so you can try this out! its nifty for sure

Any way update: I have tried it and got to say im pretty impressed so far. Usen their converter was nice didnt take long 10 mins to convert a 45 min. of Studio60ep but the file was still 200mb out of 350mb orig. which is kinda lame since its such a low res and qual. Also like mentioned they have one huge bug being a video cant play all the way through yet rofl. I was excited when i got 4 or so mins into the episode when it froze just like every one said it would.

All and all i think this is def a must have we will see a very well working media center by the time a offical opera browser gets released and these guys have had time to work out the kinks.
These kinds of programs will be so much better when the final version of the Opera Browser comes out in March............hopefully.
I don't see the point of this application. If files are already in the PC, just watch and listen to those files in the PC. Why bother turning on both the PC and the Wii just to access the files. It just adds inconvenience.

I would have to agree with this, except that it's handy if your computer is tucked away, and you want to show a group of people something on it through your living room tv. Because of this, it makes it more of a novelty to me.

So will i use it every day probably not but hey i rather watch it on my tv that pc unless im alone. then my pc chair and 21" flat screen is enough.
