I honestly feel bad for those who purchased the PS3...I really do.
i think you can allways reflash your f/w with an old version though cant you? if not omg thats sux for them and even if they fix it in the next release thats deff scary stuff id be pissed if i just spent 600 bucks haha least if it was a pc i built i could fix it my self "still votes 600 to pc parts is better than a ps3!"

with all the issues the PS3 has, if i owned one, i'd honestly be afraid of what might happen everytime i turned it on.
reminds me of a funny piece of information. the first president to have electricity in the white house was Benjamin Harrison, but neither he or his wife would use it, because they were afraid of being electricuted.
I just don't get it, why can't movie playback just work. This goes back to the basic fundamentals of hardware. If this cannot work, how can you expect gameplay to go smoothly. It's still funny though, given the slow rate of transfer of Blu-ray, it would seem like this could happen. I think Sony rushed Blu-Ray out the door to get the date advantage, and once again, put their foot in their mouth by making promises with failing hardware.
*sigh, I'd be pissed as hell if I spent $600, and the damn movie player wouldn't even work.
