Is it just me, or during the gameplay of GoW, the weapons your enemies drop once they are deceased, are you supposed to pick those up, or should you stick with your favorite weapon? (if that makes any sense at all)

I mean, I personally enjoy lugging around the lancer assault rifle. But...the fact being you can't carry that and some of the weapons at the other time make me question. Is the game giving you a *hint* when you walk over a different weapon?

I usually just stick with the Lance and Shotgun... if I run out of ammo then pick up wahtever is on the floor. And continue killing.

The game is not hinting at you to change your weapon, only giving you the option. You can stick with your current weapon if you like it better, or I usually switch to another weapon slot and drop a useless weapon (pistol, etc) and pick up something better, so I have a backup for running out of ammo. That way you can also hold two types of weapons (shotgun and assault rifle or Torque Bow and assault rifle etc) for different situations.

yep. what they said. there are some instances where you must pick up a weapon, but it's usually the hammer of dawn for the bigass enemies.

i walk around with the shotgun and longshot.

or lancer and longshot.

never without my longshot.

My preferred setup is Hammerburst and Torque Bow. An action reload on a hammerburst eats up the enemy.

I just use Chainsaw bayonet, ammo is for whimps =]
