The latest issue of North America's multi-format gaming magazine, Electronic Gaming Monthly, is now available to buy and Cubed has the information from the publication's rumour column. Check out the ones that directly, or could indirectly relate to Nintendo, below:
- A Massively Multiplayer Burnout is currently being planned by EA;
- Third Party companies are shifting many of their projects from the PlayStation 3 to the Wii;
- Harmonix is working on a new music game;
- LucasArts is developing a Star Wars game for Nintendo's Wii, in which there are fights with a light sabre;
- Star Wars Battlefront is being worked on for Next Generation consoles, yet Pandemic is not involved this time.
Make of those what you will, but a light sabre Star Wars game on the Wii was rumoured before E3, during E3 and now after E3. It makes too much sense for it not to happen. Also, could we see the return of Burnout to Nintendo this time? And what are your thoughts on Third Parties already shifting focus to the Wii?

yay all good news for Wii fans and bad news for those sorry PS fanboys/girls... they should switch to Nintendo when the Wii comes out...
if all this is true the small doubts i had about the wii's future are gone. Nintendo will be the winner of the next gen console wars. Go nintendo.

It's good we have some positive news next to my thread about the camera/mic functionality.
lol yea...it will sink... poor sony. I have a strong feeling the people at sony are going nuts. Panic and frustration with the upcoming release. They need to do something crazy to save the ps3 and keep developers on board.
I don't think this means that Sony will lose anything, just that it's going to be multiplatformed. I like the ps3, it's a great machine!

I can see Harmonix making Guitar Hero's for the Wii and having a totally wireless guitar case for the Wii-mote, kind of like how they've shown the light gun working....
