I live near the oswego area in New York.
so, last week, I see on the news that there will be some lake effect next week. so I think that we might get school closed.

so monday morning, I see that my school IS closed. yay!Really Happy

then comes tuesday, there's a two hour delay, then..... school's closed! ...Really Happy!!

and then wednesday(that's today, for those unnotified people) my mom says we are definantly going to school. I wake up to a two hour delay, get all dressed and ready-I guess I wanted to go today-, watching the news the whole time, and at 40 minutes before the bus comes, they just get an announcement that they closed the city schools for a record breaking(I think)three consecutive days. yes.

why do I get the feeling that I might be home all week?
upstate never closed when i was in NY...my friend said the instant snow started to hit the ground the plows would come out and prevent them from having to close schools/businesses down...lucky record breaker...
Just be happy with it. lol
so, the lake effect band of snow was supposed to shift north in a few hours, but it stayed where it was. so apparently, I have no school again. four in a row. I'll be here all day.
Haha, I'll be in bed soon. I'm pretty darn drunk.
pfft... We had a blizzard, like 1.5 feet of snow and still falling. I phoned the shcool and they told me schools still open. So, get in the car, can't get out of the garage. Start walking to bus stop, its like - 50 (Celcius), so I decided to start walking to school and the bus would catch up to me... It didn't. I walked all the way to school. By the time school was over the streets were clear. Then came the shoveling...

That was last year.
Our city is ready for any amount of snow (we get a lot) but they weren't ready that day because they rented out the bulldozers for some reason... We will never have a snowday, on the other hand, Vancouver had 10cm of snow and everything was closed...
That really must suck.
it's all in the timing.
Yes it did... And half the school didn't show up either.
XD.

remember, it makes you look like an even better student.

I don't remember that. I guess I must've skipped. I gotta love my mom. She lets me skip so much school. Big Grin
Sometimes when I wake up she'll just come to me and ask me if I want to go to school. If I say no she leaves and lets me sleep in Toungue. Not to mention when there's those freakishly huge snow days she won't even bother waking me up. And there's the odd time when I can just wake up, say I don't want to go to school, and then head back to bed. Smile

Ya, you didn't come to school that day... It was me, Mike, and Nghi....
Still hasn't snowed in my town at all while I've lived here.
I thought you were sleeping passed out or something.
never mind. was that someone else?

we decided that we want to go to school tomorrow!
so, the running total for the whole week was four snow days and a 2-hour delay.
Lol. Snow seems like an inconvenience.
Well still even if they cancelled those 4 days the skool will make it up at the end of the skool year, so it aint that great.
Really? That's mega day. Our schools never did that when we had to cancel school days.
they make up for it in vacations, like spring vacation or winter vacation.
We don't
