I actually think DKC is the best DK game >_>

Then again, I hate DK64's stupid rap song theme... it made me hate the game lol, that and the new Kongs weren't as cool as just Donkey, Diddy and Dixie.

0_o Candy with her pigtails that made her fly  & Lanky Kong with his stretchy arms, they were the best ones  other than DK & Diddy KongBig Grin

And you mean this rap(I personally thought it was funny & glad they added it in the DK Stage in Melee:
Here, here, here we go,
So they're finally here performing for you,
If you know the words you can join in too,
Put your hands togeather if you want to clap,
As we take you through this monkey rap,

Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!

He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well,
He's finally back, to kick some tail,
His coconut gun can fire in spurts,
If he shoots ya, it's gunna hurt,
He's bigger, faster and stronger too,
He's the first member of the DK crew!

Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
DK, Donkey Kong is here!!

This Kong's got style, so listen up dudes,
Shecan shrink in size to suit her mood,
She's quick and nimble when she needs to be,
She can flout through the air and climb up trees,
If you choose her, you'll not choose wrong,
With a skip and a hop, she's one cool Kong!

Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!

He has no style, he has no grace,
This Kong has a funny face,
He can handstand when he needs to,
And stretch his arms out just for you,
Inflate himself just like a baloon,
This crazy Kong just digs this tune!

Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
DK, Donkey Kong is here!!

He's back again and about time too,
And this time he's in the mood,
He can fly real high with his jetpack on,
With his pistols out he's one tough Kong,
He'll make you smile when he plays his tune,
But Kremlings beware 'cause he's after you!

Huh!!
DK, Donkey Kong!!
Huh!!

Finally he's here, he's here for you,
It's the last member of the DK crew,
This Kong's so strong, it isn't funny,
He'll make a Kremling cry out for mummy,
He can pick up a boulder with relative ease,
Makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze,
He may move slow, he can't jump high,
But this Kong is one heck of a guy!

Huh!!

C'mon Cranky take it to the fridge!

Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells,
Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells,
Walnuts, peanuts, pineapple smells,
Grapes, melons, oranges and coconut shells,

Oh yeah!!

that might have been the most in depth n64 game ever, next to oot. the expanded graphics helped even more.

Yea I think you might be right, I never even finished the game there was so much to do in there especially once all the characters were earned.

I remember the first time I played DKC, I thought the graphics were amazing and I couldn't believe that my little ol' system was capable of such.  My father thought it was unbelievable as well and my friend wet himself.  Ah those were the days...

I thought it was quite a deep game that even after you beat it, it had you going back to try to collect and find every little secret. I needed to have it finished 100%. A good game will make you want to do that.
While this has gotten somewhat off-topic, I just wanted to add that while It does indeed suck something terrrible to pay extra for these games, i can totally understand it. It is pure supply and demand, and while you may point out that we are not trading any physical objects, economics still come into play. These games are all stored on servers, and while I'm sure that Nintendo has quite a few at their disposal, every download sucks up a little more bandwidth and gives that one more nudge to a failure of some kind (correct me if I'm wrong tho... I'm no computer expert). Thus, in order to compensate for the increased download expected for games like OOT and LTTP (in Japan, especially), they probably had to raise prices.

Personally, I am running my Wii's internet of a kind of shoddy connection, and I know that every Monday (and most of the time, through Thursday), I will have absolutely no chance of connecting to the server, as there are just too many of us out there.

That's my theory, at least... And hey, it worked, right? Some of you are talking about boycotting, which means more bandwidth for me and my download of OOT ^_^
Uh, now they need to make 4000 points cards.
WiiRulez just broke my spirit by posting those lyrics.
wow a price rasie.. the VC consoles games are already frigging over priced =\
I hope they don't get raised.

Lol @ LMX, I like the song. Go Wii_rulez for posting it! Big Grin

Back on topic, I don't ant to see a rise is prices because they prices now are fine.

*Curses Rare as he leaves the thread a broken man*
i wish they were cheaper for sure

but i am a little surprised that i have purchased half a dozen VC titles and want 5 or 6 more...like a lot of you i skipped the N64 era and also no longer have any of the nes/snes stuff so its just too dang convenient to get the old games i want to play again

so i guess im saying: nintendo is my daddy
I could understand price hikes for something that required additional resources (such as translating Fire Emblem) or the rights issues (as mentioned with Rare games), but to raise prices on something they're already making bank on...? Is mean.
Even if I thought it somewhat pricey, I've given in and downloaded a total of eight games or so.

But mostly Genesis games because I never had SEGA or those i missed first time around like Contra or Kid Icarus.
Many of the other games I have in one iteration or another, so I avoid downloading them. I'm not so lazy that I won't wip out the NES to play Mario Bros.
Yet, if the prices are lowered, I may be behooved to shell out cash for a game or too I already have, just for the ease of it being on my Wii.

Drop prices, I will buy more. Hike them up.. count me out.

.. except when kid chameleon rolls around...
Frankly I don't like the prices of the games but I just can't resist buying the games. I'm only 14 so I missed out obviously on the NES and SNES and even the 64 because it took a lot of convincing to let my parents get me a console. Although I still played a lot of 64 games.

But I doubt they'll lower it due to the amount of downloads and I really hope they don't raise them!
