Hi; I'm locoroco. I came to this site through a "Top 100" site that I found online because I was looking for an active & sophisticated forum. I like what I see here.
From the name and with some good knowledge, you can guess that I'm a fan of the PSP. I play LocoRoco for the PSP, which is a very DS-like game. I also play a lot of sports, shooters, and racing games, which is why I like the PSP. Before the PSP, I've never owned a single console before, so I'm new to this. Yet, I've owned each and every single GameBoy and Pokemon game that has came out. The GameBoy was pretty much my entering into the game industry, and I will continue the saga when I get my DS Lite [hopefully] this fall.
As most of us did, I first heard of the Wii at E3 2005. But, I didn't garner any interest until 2006 when I learned the PS3 price & that Final Fantasy and many others wouldn't come until late-2007 and early-2008. I had always liked the Wii, but I was unsure because I wanted a PS3 at first. But, with finding out that SSBB, Pokemon Battle Revolution, WarioWare, and others were making their way to the Wii, I decided against my "Sony-fanboyism-mind" and began searching for a Wii. I've played one multiple times and I find it the most interactive gaming console I've ever played. That's a good thing, BTW.
Besides the video game industry, I am interested in television programs (primarily Heroes, House, The Closer, and 30 Rock as of late), cars, playing forum-based RPGs, running, biking, food, and drinking water. I hope to be active as this forum looks like a great place for me to jump into the Wii-World I will soon live in.

It's nice to hear that you like the wii. If you want to look, under the Nintendo Wii topic, there's a thread called "Good shipment info thread" with a lot of good information to help you find a wii. Cheers!
