Reggies has stated in an interview that Pokemon Battle Revoluton will launch Wii's online system in the U.S. and that third party developers are starting to receive the online dev kits for Wii. So in Q2 we should start seeing some online Wii games also there is a possiblity that companies could add an online feature to game already out. Of course the only really worth doing tthat to would be DBZ:BT but I'm bias.

Wii's online system will be free unlike XBL, as for anything else we don't know what nintendo will have planed. I'm sure Nintendo will try to give they're customers the best service possible.

Sounds good, But I really hope we dont have to deal with that friend code stuff.
Now developers can't complain and say they wanted to include it but didn't have the resources. They've been given the kits now let's see some online games!

This will be good unless you can only play with people on your friend list with your code. That would kinda kill the purpose of what they named the system.(Wii). IMO Nintendo would do well for itself if the friend code was only for back and forth email b/t wii not for online play. It's better to play together.

The friend codes' purpose is so you can specifically play with your friends or people on forums although they could have just done that with the screen names, but I'm sure you'll be able to play against random people whenever you want to.
Ya no doubt you can play agaisn't random people .The codes are like what Wii_Rulez said.

I cannot wait to have this, Nintendo will be a very dominate system with online gaming. I hope they add features where you can see if your friends are online, what game they are playing, etc....and i hope they make a wireless keyboard sooner or later
