I need to get this off my chest. I am sick and tired of hearing about "recylced" games coming to the Wii; or people hoping that current games will come to the Wii. Why's that so great? Especially multiplatform games. Games like GTA. Why should I buy them again? I want NEW stuff for the Wii. New ideas, new series, new concepts. Not old revamped versions of popular games. Not only is that uncreative, it's boring. Don't get me wrong, I love recycling; I'm all for it ... but not with video games. I'd say games like Trauma Center are the only exception.

Anyone else in the same boat?
Im with you.

Do somthing new. Theres so much potential on the Wii and no ones using it to its fullest.
I agree...they need to come up with somthing new.
Glad it's not just me!
I agree with you, but we have to understand what third party companies are thinking here. Look at the Wii, its a new concept, a new idea. They probably want to test the water first, so its usually easier to chuck a port on with tacky controls. I don't agree with this method but I bet its why they do it.

And if the port is successful they may commit to further Wii projects.
This is true. Verrrry true. But impatient people such as myself are growing tired of hearing about all that stuff. It's all old news to me.
it's a vicious cycle!

Like how everyone would rather have Ocarina of Time on the DS instead of a brand new Zelda?

I'd love to play Ocarina of Time while on the move.

Plus the next Zelda won't be out til like 2009.

I have to agree with you there. I hate direct ports slash multi-platform games. If it's a new (as in sequel) version of the game, sure, bring it on. Otherwise I can do without it.

And you know what else I hate? Movie games. I don't know what the actual term for this is, but I hate it when they release games based on a movie coming out at the same time. I just don't see the point. I mean, I know they make a lot of money by doing that, because of the impulsive nature of their target demographic (the kids). What they're really doing is flooding the market with a bunch of mediocre games. Ticks me off Wink

Recycling helps save the planet.
Captain Planet. He's a hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero!

Movie games can be annoying, but I've learned to ignore them. Plus, I haven't played one since I was like . . 7 years old. They don't bother me so much, but they should. The concept though, that's irritating.

Dude! I actually have a tape of that show! lol! Toungue

Or like on Robot Chicken: Help the environnement or i'll f***ing kill you! CAPTAIN PLANET!!! Toungue

As LMX said the developers are not just gonna develop new games with new concepts on the Wii until they feel it is safe. The burn from the GC is like the burn from Soul Caliber, it still burns strong within.
Lilaviel you have a real good pointi 98% agree with you !

Haha! Yeah I remember watching that show a few times Wink

lol Captain Planet. WITH THE POWER OF HEART!

I'm with you on retreads. Movie Games too. I hate them all. Especially if I already have them for another system. I still would like an Ace Combat type of game though. I'd buy Ace Combat 5 for Wii. Ahh PS2 we barely knew ye......wait jk. Although one could argue, that all VC titles are all recycled. Shh quiet while I play Super Mario World.....(trails off)
Yea, games like Diver Parallel lines are comeing to the Wii, ugh!

The part that gets me is how they dilute the market with such utter crap. They're lowering standards.
